Nice location where you can sit out on their deck overlooking Lake Huron. Inside seating and bar as well. I do think they need to improve their management, staff and service. Other tables were served their food before us though we were there and ordered a half hour before they arrived. They were out of many items on the menu. I can’t rate the quality of food, since we never received our order, though the prices were very good on the menu. After waiting an hour for our food we discovered through the server that the cook missed our order in their system and we were not even offered any compensation so we left in frustration. They were not even that busy.

A lot of potential. Still needs a bit of polish. Beautiful view on the deck, right on Tawas Bay. Appetizers were very good. Probably the highlight of the meal. Dinner was good, slightly better than average. Service took a bit, and was explained by the server was because they were busy. 6:00 dinner rush, I get it.

Walking up you start to realize this is a small, very cozy restaurant. Opening the door you’re greeted by friendly faces offering their help in seating you at the end of their full service bar. There’s two seating areas I saw aside from the bar, one inside and one outside on the deck. We decided in eating inside. There are comfortable, actual cushioned seats to sit in, which was nice and lends to the “social” ambiance of the space. The floor was a little uneven so our table was a bit off level. No biggie. My steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious, although a little under seasoned. The sides were Ok, brussel sprouts were soggy and my potato tasted old, and for being loaded it was underwhelming. My dates fish and chips were apparently perfect, she’s not as critical as me haha. The brechetta was very good, though, we loved it. Will definitely be back, there are many things on their menu I can’t wait to try!

It was a lovely experience (twice now). They had 2 drink specials and the bartender was great with a nice pour! We had fish cakes, truffle fries, and lamb chops! Delicious, hot and beautifully prepared. Talked with people at the bar on both sides of us. No stuffy people here. Loved it. Here for the blues this weekend and we will be back soon!

We came from out of town. Honestly, we should’ve left when our server 1st came to the table, but we didn’t. I ordered the spinach Alfredo dish with chicken. My friend ordered the salmon because they didn’t just have a grilled chicken dinner in the menu. We asked our server, and she told us no, we can’t do that here. At any rate, food came out, and the broccoli in my pasta literally was not cooked at all. I mentioned to my server, and she rolled her eyes and said well I see what the kitchen says. So she comes back and says they agreed with you it wasn’t right so they are making you new. Great, meanwhile, the amount of salmon was so small that I gave my guy friend most of my pasta dish to fill him up and just ate the garlic bread, which was the best thing i had there. The broccoli finally comes out after we are done eating it was steamed and buttery made like it should have been the 1st time. We got our bill and paid, and the sever literally said to us (no joke) she said, “Next time you should go to the boat house down the street. ” I can’t make this stuff up. It’s kind of unbelievable, but needless to say. I wish we would have left when we got our wine. The atmosphere is wonderful, and maybe she was just having a bad day but no reason to take it out on the guest.

First time going, and it was a pleasant experience. Our bartender Hailey was on top of everything. Seriously, the girl needs a raise. She was awesome. The food was delightful. However, the burger was slightly dry, but everything else was so delightful. Will be going back for sure.

My husband and I recently went to Social Oak for date night and we could not have picked a better spot! The food was spectacular and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were getting the best service! I highly recommend the Huron Cakes and Steak! We will definitely be coming back!

Our go to spot for a date night! They have your not so typical beer on draft and a nice wine selection. My husband loves the Cajun chicken tenders. I always try something new and haven’t been disappointed! The view from the deck is beautiful. Love having this gem in Tawas!
