Lion’s Choice Menu – Ellisville, MO

Type : Fast food restaurant

Location : Ellisville, MO

The recipe for our famous roast beef sandwich is simple: 100% real top round beef. Slow roasted on-site for three hours. Shaved extra thin. Served medium rare on a lightly toasted buttered bun. And topped with a dash of secret seasoning. It’s the same way we’ve done it for over 50 years. As real as it gets.

Counter-serve chain specializing in slow-roasted beef sandwiches served hot on toasted buns. Based on 406 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.3 stars. Price $

Cold hard fries (gross), dried out bread – probably from 2-3 days ago, the sandwich and bread were completely doused in salt seasoning (hiding the poor quality with salt?). Every surface in this place is sticky. Tables, counters, yuck. Meanwhile – the staff are standing around chatting. Restaurant is empty at 4:00. None of this speaks well for Lions Choice Ellisville

Clarkson Road (Ellisville) location. Place was filthy. Beef was cut waaaaaay to thick. Employees nice enough (looked baked though). Condiment station disgusting. I worked as an Area/GM in corporate food for almost 7 years and I’d be very upset to walk into a unit and see it in this kind of shape. No other customers inside…4 team members just standing. As corporate/ownership knows, there’s never a time an employee is on the clock and something DOESN’T need cleaning. I place blame here on the Area Manager and Owner. You should be ashamed. Patrons reading this please understand these places work like any other business and examples should be set by leadership. That precedent is 100% absent here. Lions Choice was once a STAPLE of St. Louis and the best Roast Beef around…when done correctly it still is but this was downright depressing. I was literally driving home telling my 8-year-old how awesome it used to be. I do feel older now reminiscing, but this ain’t just an age thing…you should either address this mess (as it’s been a constant since opening) or just cut your loses and close it down. Really bad look for a great restaurant and HAS to be losing market share in light of the non-existent management.

Employee was nice but service was really disappointing and disorganized it took way to long to get our food. A female employee was yelling at the other employees really unpleasant and unprofessional.

Love Lion’s Choice! I thoroughly enjoy the cod sandwiches that they serve during Lent. I recommend putting the coleslaw on top of the sandwiches!

I’m visiting from Chicago, and I popped by for a quick bite at a new place (new to me). Walt was very nice and helped me through the menu and his recommendations. I was very impressed with the hospitality, as well as sauce and drink options. I will certainly be back when I can!
