I was definitely disappointed with the Lasagna Bolognese ….The layers of pasta were not there with creamy ricotta, it was more like a sponge of ricotta sitting in the middle that you could separate from the pasta. I can cook as an Italian and make a delicious lasagna as well as other dishes.

We came here for the first time recently with two other couples for a grown ups night out and we were so pleased with everything. The restaurant downstairs is cozy, romantic and homey, the staff was friendly. The waiter was awesome .. never rushing our group, always attentive and pleasant. The food was excellent. The menu is large enough that there are plenty of options without being too much to chose from. Wine list was very nice. This is a great place for a romantic dinner. We will definitely be back!

My niece had her small intimate wedding here and it was lovely. I would recommend this restaurant for a special dinner with your significant other or for a small party. It’s elegant. The staff, especially Theresa and Christopher, were very attentive. The food was good especially the fried zucchini and egg plant. The fire pit was a nice outside place to gather even in December.

I hate to even write this review, considering my husband is in the food business. However, our dinner was terrible no other way to say it. A $50 steak was like rubber. My husband had veal which was tough. The broccoli rabe although it had garlic had zero flavor. The calamari had zero flavor and very tough. Not one plate of food was even decent it was terrible. The quality of food does not fit the prices. To pay almost $200 with a tip killed me …I went home and had frozen pizza. The service was OK. However, we sat there for a good 10 minutes before the waiter even came over. The reviews here are very different than yelp. I guess bc they can pull the

I ordered the halibut with lobster cream sauce for $43.50. It came with 1 side fish. Choice was limited to mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts or mushrooms and onions. I asked to substitute Asparagus for the side which was shown on menu as the exact same price as Brussels sprouts. The restaurant wanted to add a $3 surcharge for this which I found to be very ridiculous considering the high cost of the entree.

We had a Valentine’s dinner at Gargiluo’s and it was fantastic. The atmosphere is very romantic and they had a wonderful live jazz singer that wasn’t too loud. I had the lamb chops and my husband had the veal. Both dishes were cooked/seasoned to perfection. The wine was reasonably priced. Even on a notoriously busy night, the service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Busy night with tent wedding in parking lot. Sat upstairs. Only one table busy at first. Tables full when we left. Building completely renovated from the last restaurant. Moved bar, tables space and opened upstairs. Ordered bottle of wine. They are out. Why? It’s a lower priced bottle. The AVERAGE bottle of wine is $100. It’s little outrageous at this restaurant. Our bottle was three times cost. We drink enough wine to know costs. Not worth it. Food. Had the cheese tasting for appitizer. Very good. Limited cheese choice but still good. Dinner. Rigitoni Bolognese and Chicken Franchese. Both very good. Server never offered specials to us though. Three other tables server mentioned specials. Not us. Desert. Lemonchello ice cream and profiteroles. Good. Final words. Good restaurant. Super over priced liquor. Food food and worthwhile. Good but not sure if I’d return. Too many better priced and same quality food.

Giving three stars for the service, as our waiter was attentive and enthusiastic. The food was OKAY..not amazing but average in my opinion. However, upon our arrival, the parking situation set us up for a terrible evening. There is no notice of valet-only parking on OpenTable when I booked the reservation, and barely any on-site notice once you make the right turn into the parking lot. The valet was rude and muttered something under his breath when I tried parking myself. I’m pretty sure it was insulting judging by his facial expressions, but I can’t say with certainty. When I finally backed into the spot, he became more annoyed and rushed me out of my car. He was standing outside of my door, and wouldn’t move, so when I had to squeeze out I smashed my finger in the door while closing it. On top of this, I accidentally opened my back window when trying to communicate with the valet (again, all in a frazzled rush), which remained open when a rainstorm arrived. A good valet would have noticed this and closed the window, but no. The car was basically flooded by the time we were done with dinner. All of this could have been avoided with proper notice, proper signage on Tinton Ave, and a halfway-patient valet person who does not have a NFG attitude.
