I have had Detroit Loves Tacos at a few Graduation parties that they catered and the food was AMAZING both times! Everything tasted so fresh! The Owner herself was there with her staff and they ran it so smoothly! I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a company to cater an event! So delicious!

I’ve been hooked on their tacos since even before they had a permanent location! Their recipes are unique, and sooo much better than all the other taquerias. I usually get the pineapple pork (it has pork loin, chorizo, and bacon in it ) the carnitas, and the chicken (it’s shredded chicken breast, not dry chopped up stuff.) The tacos are HUGE! I order them through DoorDash while I’m at work a lot and I always have my third taco as leftovers the next day lol. Also it’s fine if you type in the notes that you want to mix and match meats in your taco dinner

I don’t get the hype. It’s expensive, slow as Christmas, the staff was kind of snotty when I was there (like Mean Girls– they are nice to your face but then talk smack about your order really loudly while you’re waiting–yeah, I don’t like lettuce on tacos, so what), and it’s really not that good. Just drive a little further into actual Mexicantown and get good, fast, reasonably priced tacos from someone whose may not loudly talk smack about your order while you are waiting.

I tried the barria chicken ramen and the chicken tacos. Both were flavorless, no seasonings added and had a musty smell to it. I couldn’t get past the smell so it ended up in the trash. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Whoever recommended putting cinnamon or nutmeg in the meat STOP…please stop..some things just don’t belong together, tacos and cinnamon don’t mix.

Detroit Loves Tacos & because of that, I feel the love! The food and service are always top notch. I am especially fond of the empanadas with verde sauce, but you can’t go wrong choosing any of their delicious menu items! The catering is phenomenal- had my birthday party catered and received a ton of compliments on my choice of food!
