Very old but popular, reasonably priced, friendly service. My steak was MW and very tender but bland, just needed to be cooked with a little salt as well as the mashed potatoes. Over all I would go back.

Food is almost 100% great. Steaks cooked to perfection and collard greens and onion rings are my favorite. Service is impeccable and everybody is super friendly. Inside of restaurant smells of soiled carpet and a little dirt. B asement and elevator levels has an “Old” odor. Great location and plenty of parking. The only problem is that the interior of the restaurant and the entire building needs a full remodeling. Currently the place looks old, cheap and worn. Place needs to be gutted and remodeled. Food is good but the rest feels like the entire place needs a good bath with soap and water. I have personally referred friends to visit for a great steak but they turned around immediately upon entering the building and being overtaken by the smell.

Bacon and Cheese Tater Tots were tasty but not good enough to make me return for more. The Bacon and Cheeseburger with Onion Rings were not a good choice for me.

The only reason I didn’t give the food a five-star is because it tastes like they fried the steak,it was grease. I also had the onion rings, bake potato, and bread that were delicious.

We have had 2 large parties go here in the past 6 weeks. The first time in April was pretty good. The young guy waiting on us was very good and attentive. The food was good & not a bad experience. With thar being said…we went back with family for a birthday dinner on a Sat night. We went right at 5 pm when they open hoping for good service & not so crowded.

Today we had the worst sevice ever. The waitress put our dinner order in one hour after we placed it. She came to the table several times to refresh drinks and remove appetizer plates and should have known something was wrong. Several people came in 20-30 mins after we placed our order, ate, and left. When asked she said our order was second one down? The manager, Jerri, pulled the ticket. It had just been placed. The manager comped the appetizers and apologized. This is not what I have experienced in my past visits. The service has always been extremely professional and the food delicious. I will be back, just no time soon. Kudos to the manager, Jerri.

Our Women’s Bible study had a ladies night out here. The only complaint was there was no sign letting me know the building was the restaurant except little sign after I passed it in a bush. I drive by it 3 times before I figured out I was there. But the restaurant was clean decorated nice. And we were a group of 25 ladies or more and the service was better than I’ve had at other restaurants with just a couple people. Our waitress Amanda was incredible and basically waited on us by herself. The kitchen staff messed up my sandwich and she saw it brought it to my attention and promptly had it redone with our a long wait. They were friendly and nice and I recommend her table if anyone goes there. The food was good and portions were good and pricing wasn’t about the same as similar chains. Overall it was a great experience and we closed the place down and they still didn’t rush us.
