Interior was beautiful and clean, Ambiance was perfect as well. The staff was very nice and attentive. They took our order and the food was made fresh (careful it’s hot!). Definitely my new favorite spot!

We learned about this place not too long and we heard that the owners of Olleh (KBBQ & Sushi) opened this place, so we knew we had to try it out. And first off, we are coming back to try the rest of the menu! From the drinks (ordered wine & beer) to appetizers to skewers to the donburi, it was all impeccable, tasteful and big fan of the interior design as well, which is a mix of traditional and modern style. We ordered the wine pork belly, wagyu, gyu don, agedashi tofu, shishito peppers, chicken thigh with green onions, rice & sausage skewers, and the smoked salmon carpaccio. The customer service was so genuine, kind, and meticulous. Overall, a great experience and we hope to be regulars!

The place is super cute and chill. We order a few appetizers and dinner. My favorite is the pork belly. The wagyu sukiyaki is very delicious. I enjoyed the broth, fresh vegetables, and meat. I would definitely come back to try more stuff. Customer service is excellent. He is attentive and overall a great host.

This is now one of my favorite kushiyaki places in San Diego. Customer service was great despite being a lunch rush. Food quality was excellent from the chicken to the bacon to the beef. Zero complaints here! Small location but it’s cozy.

The wife and I were looking for a new place we haven’t tried before and O To San came up on Yelp and decided to give it a go.

Wow it was pretty good. They serve japanese yakitori, for appetizers we had the taco waso and potato croquette, they were delicious, the tonkotsu ramen i ordered was really light which is actually loved! Some of the skewers were disappointing but most of them were good. We got sukiyaki as well, it was super sweet. Would probably come back. Good prices!

Literally one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city. Easily in my top 3 right off the bat. Every dish tasted like a warm hug from an old friend. It’s simple, beautiful comfort food. Lunch is INCREDIBLY affordable. The atmosphere is wonderful as well. Absolutely will be back regularly.

I had an amazing experience at Otosan! The kushiyaki and ramen were absolutely delicious, and the service was fantastic. The attention to detail was impressive, and it truly felt like we were transported to Japan.

Dropped by for dinner and was immediately impressed with the ambience. We ordered the shishito peppers, oyoko don and wagyu sukiyaki. Everything was pretty good, especially the wagyu sukiyaki. The soup came out on a little stove to keep it warm, and they were real generous with the amount of wagyu. Definitely worth a try!

I hate to say this because I don’t like leaving poor reviews but this place was a disappointment. This is the last time I’ll use TikTok as a spot for restaurant reviews. The service was nice and friendly and attentive. The food had the least amount of flavor of ANY Asian food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Absolutely nothing had the least bit of seasoning on it, it tasted like. We had some Karage that was super plain and Gyoza with no sauce and ramen that was 95% water. I mean no disrespect but it’s not a place we will give a second try.
