Hands down the best rotisserie chicken I ever had! The potatoes are cooked with chicken schmaltz and very addicting. They have so many other amazing selections from handmade sausages to their daily sandwiches. I always highly recommend this place to all of my family and friends and now I’m telling you to go and try it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Great new addition, Picnic is a lovely local market and eatery that highlights local producers. We had the rotisserie chicken with olives and potatoes- you can tell the items were sourced locally and very fresh, the coffee cake was also incredible! We were able to purchase some items for home that they displayed- wine from a local producer as well as some fresh salads.

I would eat at Picnic every day for the rest of my life. Fresh and tasty food, absolutely delicious. Unique recipes, with very peculiar ingredients combination, but definitely perfectly balanced. My top ones: porchetta sandwich and lamb merguez. And of course, I flu back to FL with my bag full of sausages and pate. They made it perfectly! Amazing team and atmosphere.

Very good sandwiches. The only thing that holds me from doing 5 stars is that some of their breads, the ones with flour to make it look “rustic”, have like a full tablespoon of uncooked flour on top. Every bite brings me one step closer to developing asthma. I’ll keep coming but I’ll probably avoid those specific sandwiches (the roast beef one is one of them)

I’ve been here a few times and have gotten to try several daily sandwiches, their sausages + the rotisserie lunchbox. The quality and the flavor of the food is consistently outstanding.

I’ve never had such dry chicken in my life. Can appreciate being a small business, but we gotta do better Gilbert

Love this place. Can taste the love and careful selection and preparation of the ingredients in each item we try. We look forward to our sandwiches every week, love getting a selection of sausages, the Edith’s Pies are divine, and the staff/owners service is always warm and friendly. Must add to your rotation of local businesses to support! Lower Solano Ave is a destination worth visiting!

Today’s sandwich was pastrami…wow, the most incredible pastrami we’ve EVER had! The portion looks skimpy but there’s a flavor explosion so it’s well-balanced with the delicious slaw (we did use our panini press it at home which IMO helps it not seem to bready ). I’ve never had melt-in-my-mouth pastrami – I’m not a huge red meat person but this sandwich has me craving more! Also the sides are always creative. Today we got both the broccolini salad and the potato salad. Friendly, quick service, truly a neighborhood gem!

So great to have this woman-owned business in Albany! Have loved their sausages for year at the market. Do NOT miss their to-go lunch sandwiches.
