Great place. Very cute. Wonderful staff! And the food is awesome! I tried the paletillo de abuelo which was great. They have $1 tacos on Wednesday! THE GUACAMOLE WAS EXCEPTIONAL! The best I’ve ever had. Definitely going to have to return here! Easy to find location!

This is another classic “don’t judge a book by its cover” kinda spot. Great food, nice selection, everything is nicely seasoned and well made. Piping hot and delicious every time. Great, great , great lunch specials every day of the week. Entrance is through attached little bodega with some treats you might not find elsewhere.

I’ve tried to find good Mexican food in Wichita and this is the only place I’ve found so far that is actually pretty good. It’s definitely more authentic Mexican food and not over Americanized like the rest of the places here. So, if you’re from an area (like Los Angeles) and are accustomed to decent Mexican food, you’ll want to come here and not most other places around here.

Chicken tacos had no flavor and they didn’t give me any verde sauce after I asked twice and they said it was in the bag. Tacos are my favorite food and this was the most disappointed I’ve ever been. Rather have taco shop or bell or something.

Searched for nearby restaurants when we had gone to visit friends and it was getting late. Laa Mananitas came up with a good reviews, but still had to talk daughter into stopping. Great food. We ordered a variety and all good. Guacamole tasted fresh made. Even refried beans didn’t taste like they’re been on stove for several day. Anyway, I don’t normally write reviews, but we will go back again.

Chilaquiles we’re soggy and the sauce was watery with no flavor or spice. Owner said that’s how they are suppose to be but I honestly never ever had chilaquiles soggy. The tortilla chips are suppose to be friends to be somewhat crunchy. The soggy taste was unpleasant. I understand different parts of Mexico have different styles of cooking but for the most part some dishes are basic. Jamaica water was not fresh tasted worse than Kool aid. We ordered soda instead. Sorry but I was highly dissatisfied. First time in Wichita and first Mexican restaurant I was not impressed.

This place came recommended by several people, each of whom have been here before and said it was pretty good. We were all in agreement that every meat we tried was dry. The carne asada had no flavor at all, the chicken was super dry, and the Barbacoa was extra fatty. They said it was uncommon for everything to be so dry, but even their other meats like the carne and the El Pastor were underwhelming. Don’t know if I’ll give this place a second try. Waitress left our empty plates on the table for over 20 minutes. They did get busy, but that was kind of a ridiculously long time to leave them there. Chairs and tables are wobbly, a pet peeve of mine.

O my god , lets start with the chips best chips i have ever had. The dishes are amazing. 100% authentic mexican food. My personal favorite has got to be the caldo de res, Tied with that has got to be the ABUELO this dish has got to be best in town. You have got to try the fresh made to order limeades to wash it down. If you are in a hurry carry out is always an option. From the daily specials to the house specialties you can not go wrong.

How can you go wrong with $4 tortas on Monday, $1 gorditas on Tuesday, and $1 tacos on Wednesday?! Pastor is awesome and you can’t beat the bang for your buck. Sure it’s a hole in the wall, but this place dishes out some great cookin’ — don’t let looks deceive you!
