Unique setting for steak, shrimp and sandwiches in the 1880s Goss Opera House. Responsive staff, good food, and a fun twist on some familiar drinks in a casual atmosphere. Be prepared for conversation that might require a little more than your outside voice. Enough side options to give your vegetarian friends some starch to nosh on.

More like a sports bar than nice restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. But the food left a lot to be desired. My husband ordered the sirloin steak and asked for medium well. I usually get medium rare and not sure I could have eaten that steak. His fries were delicious. I got ribs and mashed potatoes. The sauce on the ribs was great but my ribs had a lot of fat on them. My mashed potatoes were very dry.

Solid place with a nice open atmosphere and an expansive menu. We were there on a Monday over lunch, so it was very quiet. My burger was solid, and the white chicken chili was also good. Would recommend for a nice casual dinner or lunch!

Overall, for the prices the service and ambiance not worth it. Our waitress was great but the management and bartenders seemed in prepared and not very friendly. The upcharge for hash browns was ridiculous for what was received. Food was cold. Dempseys down the street is much better service and better food for value.

THE BEST PRIME RIB in WATERTOWN. The FEMALE STAFF is where it’s at. These ladies are on their game every single second. One of my favorites is the tall red head with long hair! Smart. And one of the best waitresses I’ve EVER had or seen. I thought she was the owner. Crazy how good these ladies are. My favorite place to eat in Watertown!

Worked in the area for about 5 months and came to Maverick’s Steak & Cocktails with coworkers. I wasn’t overly impressed with the brisket plate it had a lot of fat on it and cold. Their fried deviled eggs and fried rolls were actually pretty tasty. Along with their ice cold beer and mixed drinks were spot on.

We had the Maverick 6oz steak with garlic cheddar mashed potatoes, chicken pot pie soup (yes, soup! But really not – oh so good), and the Revolver sandwich which is their take on a Philly cheesesteak. Excellent food! Highly recommend.
