I’m so glad we stopped here. I am also glad we did it on our last day of vacation. This little brew house is amazing. Run by real Friars that cook and tend the bar. My humongous lobster roll was a full pound of lobster. I have to say it was the best lobster roll I’ve ever had. It was also the first time I left a table for lobster and was truly full. The Mac and cheese dishes were delicious as well. I can’t wait to visit again next trip.

Had a short wait, but it was well worth it. We sat at the back corner table with a view of the water and a nice breeze. The hot shrimp dip was so amazing it had whole shimps, not just pieces of shrimp. I had the Tourtiere du Vieux- Quebec and my husband had the Baguette Banh Mi. Both were excellent. The portions were large and we had even had leftovers. We also got a nice serving of blueberry cobbler to go. The service was great and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

It was an exceptional experience. We had to wait about 15 minutes to get a seat and we chose to sit over at the bar as the seating was full.If you wanna catch some great jokes from the friars, the bar is the best spot to be .The ambiance of the taproom was cozy and comfortable and had a relaxed vibe.

The food here is exceptional! The best sandwich and seafood chowder I have ever had. Portion sizes are large and the atmosphere is awesome. This is not a place to go when you are in a hurry, but I assure you that it is worth the wait. Make sure to try one of the beers, also extremely good.

This is one of the best hidden gems in Maine. The beer and the food are both simply amazing! The meatloaf is the best I’ve ever had. Eaten it on two separate visits and it was so good that both times I literally have been brought to tears of joy when I taste it, yes its that amazing! The only downside is you have got to be a early bird to eat there because they have super short hours, closing @630pm?? That’s crazy early specifically during the summer, the amount of money they are losing is staggering no doubt.

Seriously one of the best meals I have ever had. Unbeatable quality, all home made, old family recipes, and to go containers ready because the portions are HUGE!!! Oh, and the prices are very very reasonable. So if you are looking to fill up on food that would make your mom green with envy, and you don’t want to kill your budget, this is what you are looking for. Did I mention the awesome and welcoming atmosphere??? How about the cool stories on the menus?? Or the spectacular water views??? I love this place!
