Fresh and authentic sushi. 4/5 stars because I actually didn’t like how big the rolls were. When the rolls are too big to enjoy in one bite, it’s difficult to taste and chew the combination of flavors that were so thoughtfully designed by the chefs.

The location is hard to find because it’s under construction. You can also park in the lot, they will stamp your parking pass. We dine-in on the patio and it’s a very chill atmosphere other than the ongoing construction. The drinks are okay. My friends ordered mojitos and the mint leaves were dried and turned brown/blackish. They could have removed those out.

We had excellent food and service here. The tuna nagiri pieces are huge. They were out of their fatty tuna maki which I had at their Edina location and it was a 10/10 last time i had it, oh well. Bathroom is a long walk down a hallway and parking can be a challenge. They do comp your parking ticket which is nice. The restaurant decor seems quite upscale and tasteful.

Took almost 50 minutes to get our food after ordering. We ordered 4 rolls and 1 order of tuna nigiri. The rolls (lollipop and titanic) I ordered were smothered in sauce. The lollipop roll might have been good if it wasn’t drowning in the sauces. The rice here was way too soft, mushy and basically no vinegar. The rolls are expensive – almost $25 plus an additional 4% surcharge makes it way to pricey for the subpar quality and service.

We stopped here for dinner during restaurant week and were not disappointed! Normally it’s around ~$25 for a roll, but it was HUGE! Loved the vegetable tempura and Mochi ice cream. Kind service and a cool modern vibe inside. We plan to come back! PS they will validate your parking if you park in the “Tennant only” parking lot.

The whole experience was so amazing! Our server Abby was friendly and attentive. For what we ordered I felt like the pricing was fair. However there was a mystery surcharge on our bill which we might have felt better about if it had been explained. We’ll definitely be going back again!

Yumi has some of the best sushi I have tried in the Saint Paul area. The sashimi is fresh, with large portions and careful presentation. I enjoyed the salmon and tuna immensely, and it was reasonably priced for the quality and quantity.
