This was my second visit to The Alley. It’s still a shock to walk up the stairs and find this absolutely stunning oasis of food and fun above the bowling alley. This visit our food was very good. I still think the filet is one of the best in western kentucky. The lobster bisque is surprisingly good so far from the ocean. I sampled everything, but I made the pork chop my meal. The flavor was great; it was a bit drier than the last time I sampled it.

What a great hidden spot in Murray! The atmosphere is indicative of a fine dining restaurant in any big city. The service was great, interior clean, fresh, and the wait staff was all very friendly. The live song and piano provided by Mr. Todd Hill really added to the enjoyment. He is very talented!

First off, the atmosphere is a 5, I will give them that. The food was a 4. But the service alone is a single star. It started off well enough but our food took 90 minutes to arrive & was incorrect (but not enough to send it back). We witnessed 3 tables order, get their food, checks and leave before our waiter even informed us “your food is coming up next.” We were not a large party. We were a party of 4. We ordered strictly off the menu and did not ask for anything extra. After our food arrived, we asked our waitress of the issue & he stated that the kitchen was slow & he only had one chef. Our server did not apologize or in any way make us feel that there was any urgency. Please just be well aware before going here that you will wait a long time.

Went for Christmas party. Will not go again. Waited one and a half hours just for our salads. Rolls were cold, butter was frozen. When our table of four finally got our food the three medium rare steaks were basically burnt to ashes. I have never given a bad review before, because I know sometimes in the food business there are off nights. But this was totally unexceptable for a supposedly high end steakhouse. The only reason I gave a one was my chicken was pretty good. I’ve had better service and steaks at sirloin stockade. Quite possibly the worst steaks in my lifetime. The bowling alley food was better.

Excellent quality, but that is expected at the high price. Prime rib was very good. Salmon dish was good. Salads were decent, but not upgraded to match price thereof. Kudos to waitress Kylie doing a very good job despite having a large number of customers to handle. Very nice surprising ambiance despite location above bowling alley. Entertainment was good, but usual live piano background would fit ambiance more accurately. A really nice Murray surprise, if you can afford it.

Delicious meal. This is definitely the “fanciest” place to eat in Murray, so the food does not disappoint. Quality entertainment with a live pianist (Todd Hill is fantastic.) I was a bit disappointed in the reservation app. It worked well, but they seated us as if we had just walked in and didn’t pay attention to any comments I had put in the app (if I say I’m a vegetarian, it’d be nice if they highlighted those options). Overall, food and atmosphere great, waitressing was good, but still just a few service parts could really make the place shine.
