They have the best chitin/ chitterlings my father ever had. He loved it so much we had to go back there to order more. You will not regret it!!! The best in North Carolina. So if you are ever in Wilson or passing it on 95 and you have a taste for some real authentic soul food stop there.

Everybody and their mama raves about this place so I had to try it out but it was not good.. and Im a foodie but the food was very bland. I had the hamburger steak with rice.. cabbage and Mac and cheese. Only the cabbage had seasoning but it was mushy and the Mac and cheese was extremely SOUR like it came out of an expired can. Also the staff wasn’t friendly and gave off the vibe as if they were annoyed or didn’t want to be there… Definitely wasted 20$

I ordered the turkey bbq wings and hamburger steak and it was terrible. Turkey bbq wings were extremely DRY! Hamburger steak with gravy was very bland no seasoning at all! Very disappointed. Management has changed and we can tell the difference. I won’t waste my money here again!

While on a business trip, I asked some local people what’s good to eat in the area, everyone said Sylvia’s. When I say this hidden gem did not disappoint. Somebody Nana back there cooking that food….. This food was the food from the “Help”, fried chicken was even a brown paper bag. IYKYK!!!

Staff appeared tired and unfriendly. it was like what do you want hurry up.I don’t have time for this attitude. Food did not taste good and too expensive for what they were offering. Soul food without seasoning is just food!!!No Soul. And the place looked like a smelly dungeon. Will not return.

My wife stop in to Sylvia Family restaurant today. She purchased two dinners.l get hamburgers steak ,gravy, rice, greens. My wife get turkey wings ,gravy and rice, greens. The rice was nasty it tasted sour as all outside. She took it back. By closing they had broke things down. This after we called them to tell them the food was nasty as hell. I will never shop there again bad business in my book. Somebody can get sick like this people.
