We had eaten there before but I always got salad. This time I got a hamburger with texas toothpicks, pepper jack cheese and another type. It was so GOOD. I will order that again. It was so yummy !

Good Food! Catfish and burgers are what we had and they were great! Also had appetizers sampler with armadillo eggs, mushrooms, fried pickles and they are great! Love the small town feel and atmosphere, very friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend! We also got desert and Possum pie sounds really good so got it and it’s excellent! It’s really not armadillo or possum in them just a play on words lol but very good food!

Stopped for a quick bite while I was in town and got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes & gravy, fried okra, and toast. Everything was really good except for the toast which was dry or stale. But the chicken was fresh and tasty as well as the okra.

Friendly service in a down home atmosphere made this a decent stop on a recent road trip. We’ve seen it for years as we’ve traveled US71 and finally stopped after seeing their burgers featured in an Arkansas magazine. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend the burgers. They aren’t charbroiled, they are incinerated. The other dishes were better but nothing we considered outstanding. The prices are good and there’s certainly not many options nearby.

Our order was wrong and the waitress jus didn’t seem to pay attention to detail. My BF is diabetic and that night was doing half and half tea when asking for refill still brought sweet tea only. I corrected her which she seemed offended .

The brisket here is not edible! The ribs were almost tolerable. My 13 year old son said we would have been better off going to McDonald’s after we spent over $50 here. Don’t go!

1 star mainly because of how they decided to resolve the issue. I ordered a chicken fried steak and as I was eating there was a curly hair that had been cooked inside. This obviously turned me off from eating with at least 80% of the meal left. The waitor came at the end for payment. I explained what happened and I was given a discount on the mostly uneaten plate. The kicker is the total was 27 something for myself and father before i told the waiter. Our discounted price … 24 something. The waiter says they knocked off 6 dollars. Each plate was 10.99 and I got a tea and my father a water. Needless to say we will never be returning there and it’s a sad thing because we bought a property near Waldron recently.
