My son and i visited Smash Burger at Tempe Marketplace and were sorely disappointed. I purchased a dozen wings that were heavily fried, had very little chicken, and had no flavor to speak of. My son’s report, “They jipped me on the tots.” Smash Burger felt like an overpriced McDonald’s. I would not recommend eating there.

I do love this place first of all. But the Reese’s peanut butter shake I got from there tonight was really terrible. For some reason it was just whipped up with tons of whipping cream so it was really fluffy and airy and had no Reese’s in it at all. Definitely the worst Reese’s peanut butter shake I’ve ever had and when the price is $6 you really expect it to be much better than that.

This is a pretty nice burger place if you are looking to get lunch or dinner. I haven’t been to Smashburger in a long time so I was looking forward to stopping by. The service was great. The guy behind the counter was friendly and polite. We ordered the double Smashburger as well as the double with brisket. Smashburger cooks their burgers flat which gives them a bit of a crispy feel. It’s a really good burger. The brisket burger was huge. I ordered the double with brisket and it was a battle to finish but it was great. The brisket and burger combo goes together well and the sauce was delicious. Overall we really enjoyed it here for both the service and food. We’ll definitely be back in the future.

Worse than the average Snashburger. Many locations are nicer. Staff was friendly, and the food was OK, but the temperature was miserable. We were drenched even before our burgers came. Just not a comfortable way to dine. Whatever the temperature is set to, it is eight or ten degrees to high for comfort, especially when eating. Turn the temperature down, and wipe the tables a bit better, as ours was a tad sticky, and thus would be a good place for a burger before, or after a movie. As it is go to place where the A/C is set to make humans comfortable, and not to try and melt them.

Walked in, was told by the woman behind the counter she’d be right back. We waited at the counter for nearly 5 minutes, if not more, while she stood, with her back to the counter and waited for food to be brought up so she could bag it.

When we arrived, there was no one in line, but we waited 5min to be acknowledged. The burger was ok. It was room temp though and our fries were cold; no free refills, which is funny because you can fill your own cup, but your not allowed to go back for more unless you pay for it. (If that’s the case, put it behind the counter.) Our table was dirty, and from what we noticed, there was one person in the back, and one working the register and putting the orders together. No one to clean tables. There weren’t alot of customers, it should not have been hard to greet us, serve hot/warm food or have a clean table to sit at.

So this is what qualifies as a $12 burger now! I used to like smash bugar but now it socks because they want to charge you twice as much for half of what you normally got in restaurant. I’m so disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this place.
