La Osita, “the little girl bear”, is the creation of a talented woman with a singular mission, to combine excellent Mexican brunch food with excellent coffee. Based on my first experience here, she is succeeding brilliantly. I had the steak & egg burrito, bear hug, and latte de canella. All of it tasted like pure love. In fact, with its clear focus and flawless execution, I think La Osita actually rises to the level of a legitimate masterpiece and with the new location, I have no doubt it is on a path to becoming one of Portland’s quintessential restaurants.

The best veggie burrito in Portland! I’ve tried veggie burritos at 20+ taquerias and restaurants in Portland and they are all mostly mediocre. The vegan burrito at La Osita has a nice balance of ingredients and each is seasoned well. They also put it on the grill at the end so the tortilla is nice and crispy. I generally don’t like vegan cheese but I enjoyed it in this burrito. Go and try it!

Before even trying their food I was a really big fan. Their customer service is unbeatable. Since Covid, I feel like customer service has plummeted everywhere and this spot was very refreshing! Brunch tacos are amazing and the love bowl was a very fresh, healthy, yummy choice. Fast, cheap, tasty. Definitely will be coming back.
