Had a ribeye here and when I eat ribeye, I usually don’t use sauce because steak should just taste good by itself. What could’ve been a great steak was just meh. Everything else here is usually great especially the pizza don’t discount the pizza.

Was in Woodbury last Saturday and had an early dinner at DJ’s Pizza & Steak House. This place has a wide variety of items on the menu from wings, pizza, and sandwiches to steaks and pasta. I was there with five others so I got to see a wide range of different meals. The pizza’s are “different” but in a good way…loved the flavors and they do not skimp on the toppings. My daughter enjoyed the Manicotti and the littlest loved the kids chicken tenders. For me the ribeye steak sandwich was good and prepared as requested…but I wasn’t a fan of the onion rings. Save room and go take a look at the dessert case, we tried a few from there and all were good but the 4-layer cake was a bit dry. Overall good food and great service.

All we got was pizza & a Stromboli, but it was pretty good. The place smells amazing, I just felt aside from pizza, the prices were a bit high. I do eventually want to try a steak, but this isn’t the week…$$$$ as far as ambiance/atmosphere, I definitely felt like an outsider as far as a vibe. I don’t like chocolate– but if I did, holy hell, those cakes and desserts! If I liked chocolate or strawberry or cheesecake, I’d be there for the sweets alone. Go on, check those cakes out!

First time we actually sat outside and ordered and the kids enjoyed it. There was a little bit of a wait for our meal but we was able to fill the time with making memories. All the kids loved their meals, my daughter ate all her spaghetti that the waitress had suggested her to try. I especially enjoyed my bacon cheeseburger.

We normally order pizza from here. Well we decided to try their famous smoked wings Saturday. They were awful! They weren’t the Lunch box smoked wings. They were tough and no flavor. So we got one order of them. That’s 6 wings and a catfish sandwich and two orders of onion rings and 2 teas. It was $32.07! Ridiculous! The fish sandwich was awful too. Told the gal at checkout and she said nothing. Told the waitress about the wings, but couldn’t about the fish sandwich because she never came back to our table for refills or anything. Now we know why we go out of town for good food and service. If you want good smoked wings go to Slick Pig or Praters. It’s sad it’s not the DJs it use to be.

I can say that tonight we had the best Ribeye Steak in town. I can also recommend the loaded bake potato. We ordered Fried Pickles for an appetizer and they had excellent flavor and were a decent sized order. Susan was our server and she Rocked! She check with us often, even though we sat outside where it’s easy to be forgotten. The restaurant was clean and everyone was very polite. My family will definitely be back very soon.
