The food was flavorful and fulling without feeling heavy afterwards. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Wonderful customer service. The restaurant gave a home like feeling with the open kitchen. Definitely recommend and will be coming back.

A fun, very small place that offers a casual vibe with freshly prepared food. It’s good, even very good, just not as extraordinary as perhaps we’d been built up to expect. Oysters were very good, smoked salmon plate was outstanding, chilled pasta with lobster seemed to skimp on the lobster, and the mussels were a mixed result, with the mussels themselves a little mealy and fishy, while the broth was wonderful. The service was delightful and I’d go back, just with lowered expectations next time around.

I was just visiting and I don’t know the standards of food in Rochester, but I would say the food here was good. Not great. Overall, I would say give this place a try. The menu options were interesting and simple. Most of what I tired was pretty flavorful. I liked the chowder and the shrimp slider. I didn’t care for the risotto or the olive bread and fig dessert. The service was good and it was nice interacting with the chef’s. If I lived here I would probably give it one more try.

I brought my wife to Rella for her birthday tonight. Everything was excellent including the service. If you want to know what a really good chowder tastes like, include that in your order (New Englanders welcome). Same goes for the Caesar salad. It’s KILLER! The oysters are fresh and sweet. Order a bunch of stuff and share it. It’s really good food.

Worth every one if it’s five stars. The service was amazing and attentive with each server listening to us chat about our lives as they brought us each dish as it finished in the kitchen. The dishes themselves were full of flavor and the best that I’ve had of each of them.

A phenomenal meal and great atmosphere. The shrimp salad and lobster and crab risotto were standouts, and the corn cake for dessert was unbelievably delicious. This is a tiny 16-seater, so show up early or expect to wait! We will be back—can’t wait to try everything on the menu!

Absolutely incredible. We got nearly everything on the menu (sharing with the table) and every dish was better than the last. Seriously fabulous and worth the wait! We almost never leave reviews. It’s that good.

Some places are so good you almost don’t want to leave a review so the secret doesn’t get out. This is easily the most uniquely interesting restaurant in Rochester. I ordered a Shrimp BBQ salad and literally each of the first 15 bites was distinctly different and erupting with daring expressions of ingredients that I scrambled to identify as my senses overloaded with satisfaction. Very generous portions, great staff, very limited seating but worth waiting if you have to. Great chef and he’s accessible to chat while he’s bustling around. Top 3 in Rochester, if not #1.
