We had been meaning to try this place for a long time and I’m so glad we finally did. As soon as you walk in the restaurant, you can smell all the yummy aromas of curry and other spices teasing your appetite. The store is painted yellow with picture frames displaying all the newspaper and magazine features the store has. There were only two people working, so it took a little while to get our order in and take a seat. They had a very consistent stream of people coming in for take out orders. We were so excited when we got our food. I don’t think we waited more than five to ten minutes. The Jerk Chicken is absolutely delicious with tender falling off the bone meat, subtle and rich spices, served with rice, cornbread pudding, and side of cabbage and veggies. The oxtail was also very good. I would love to come back soon to try the curry chicken or brown stew chicken! And of course for the cornbread pudding. Lovely little place. Jamaican Cafe has left an excellent impression on me!

Oxtails were really good and seasoned well. The cornbread which had actual corn was really good too. The cabbage wasn’t really to my liking. Had a weird after taste but other than that the meal was good

Food was really good, especially the curry chicken. I am not a fan of shredded chicken but I could eat this weekly. Jamaican pies are a perfect appetizer or something to grab on the go.

This was soo delicious! I ordered the lunch portion of the brown stew chicken and it was so tender and flavorful! The ladies at the counter took my order quickly and the food was out within minutes! It was hot and you can tell it was cooked that day! I tried to opt out of getting the cornbread but I’m so happy I did! It was legit the best cornbread I’ve ever had in my life! And there was actual corn in it?! I’ve never seen that before. The plate was only about 8 dollars but the portion was big enough to eat from twice! I will definitely be back to try more of their dishes!

Very disappointed in the food. No flavor from the jerk chicken to mac and cheese. I expected flavor and spice but nothing. Also mac and cheese (with very little cheese and absolutely no flavor) was so hot when i got home i picked up the styrofoam they put it in and the top had melted to top of other styrofoam and went everywhere. Won’t go again.
