Visited this location for the first time with my family. We had burgers, a pastrami sandwich and a crispy chicken sandwich. We all commented on the great taste and portion size. Their potato salad and fries were delicious as well. I was impressed with their attention too, cake and ice cream were brought to the table because they noticed we had gifts that I opened. How thoughtful and I must add, it was delicious chocolate cake .

Visited The Hayden today for lunch with six friends. I called and made a reservation ahead of time. We were there on a Friday at 11:00 a.m. and it wasn’t super busy, but it is kind of a small place, so I would recommend making a reservation. We sat at a bar height table for 8. We were served water and drink orders were taken. Just FYI, the sodas offered are Maine Root brand, no Coke or Pepsi products. A couple of bottles of water were left on the table by our server. I personally shared the Brussels sprouts, the Infamous Hayden cake, and the honey mustard crispy chicken sandwich. All were delicious. I especially loved the Brussels sprouts. The kitchen cut the crispy chicken sandwich in half and brought it on two separate plates because I was sharing which I very much appreciated. The mustard on the crispy chicken sandwich was not quite as sweet as I thought it would be but the chicken itself was delicious and I enjoyed the sandwich. The fries could have been a little hotter. My friend who got Elaine’s big salad said she liked the salad but it could have used a little more dressing. The chicken and potato latke looked amazing but I didn’t get a review from my friend about it. The music in the restaurant was a little bit loud, which made it hard to communicate in a large group. There is a 2% charge added to the bill for the kitchen. The server brought the device to run our cards to the table. On the device you will select a tip amount and choose if and how you would like to receive your receipt. The restroom is in the back right corner. There are a few tables outside in the front and also some seating at the bar but mostly booths. Overall a great experience and I will go back.

I was excited to visit the new Hayden out in the Alon shopping center, but unfortunately my expectations were not met. Service was definitely lacking with the restaurant being only half full with customers. I asked for regular mustard and the server assured me it wasn’t available without even checking and so it was then I decided to ask a manager who promptly brought it over. The server took about 30 mins to bring me my drink without checking with the bartender. Manager had to get involved and still, I had to pay for the drink which at that point should have been given for that mistake.

What a great experience today at the Hayden! We came in to celebrate my husband’s birthday and the food and service was top notch! Noah took great care of us and brought a special treat for our son, also named Noah when he saw that he was interested in dinosaurs. Check out this triceratops sundae! Such a sweet gesture and just made this experience that much more memorable! Phenomenal service! We will definitely be back!

I honestly can’t say enough good things about The Hayden. The food is absolutely fantastic. My friends, family, and I have covered most of the menu and have not been disappointed with a single item. The service deserves every bit of those five stars. From the host staff, to the wait staff, to the expo line/back of house… friendly faces, helpful, knowledgeable, and fun. Just a super great experience. It has quickly become my new regular spot and that is definitely not just because it is close to home. Well done, Hayden!!! Thank you for your excellent food and service.

Stopped by for a quick breakfast today. Glad we did – super clean & tasty food. The kids menu is great in case you have kids. The person who greeted us was so friendly actually felt appreciated for going to their restaurant. Seems like a lost art these days. Sarina the server was really helpful & didn’t judge our smaller orders given we weren’t super hungry. Can’t wait to go back for lunch! Felt like I was back in Chicago.
