At our Cape Girardeau, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Oh man! As you see it was hard to take this picture bc the other hand is SMASHING THIS FOOD! Super friendly manager took our order, got the sampler and some crab cakes (bc another recent place did me derrty on some crab cakes, how can you DO A CRAB CAKE WRONG! ITS TOO PRECIOUS!) Lol end that rant. Gotta try this place if u haven’t, everything is crispy and golden delicious, broccoli is fresh, okra is ON POINT! I will bb SOON!

Sad to say we will not be eating here any longer and we were regulars. Food quality has declined,brown,hard baked potatos,old oil in fryer and long wait at drive thru. We’ll miss eating there because used to be very good

I’m really not a fish or seafood lover. I for real only like shrimp n that’s if I make it. My bf absolutely loves this place. His fav is the jalapeños poppers. So finally I tried it MANE!!! I loved the shrimp n Mac n cheese soooo much. I ended up trying his food. ♀️. Why haven’t I been eating here. Now I actually crave it!!!

It’s 45 minutes before they close. Drive thru is lit up. No response.. i also went to the drive thru or walk in on multiple other days during business hours and the doors were shut with no explanation. It’s clear employees have been closing the restaurant. Sometimes hours early

I’m so disappointed in the fish my husband brought from your Cape Gir store today 5/14/23. The fish tasted awful, like the oil was old & rancent. Made me sick to stomach and bad indigestion. For a place that frys most of their food you’d think you could use fresh oil. Ice been to several other CaptD restaurants and never tasted like this place. Yuk

They don’t tell you the lobby hours. Walked all the way from my work to them and the lobby was closed. I tried to find the lobby hours beforehand but couldn’t and then looked on the door and doesn’t mention lobby hours at all.

FYI: Drive through order was good but the wait was 14 minutes had 5 cars behind me that had to wait even longer! Food was ok & so was my order! Girl at the window didn’t apologize for taking to long just handed me my food so I could move on!
