I do not know how this isn’t six starts. This place is legitimate sushi. It is hands down the best in the DC area. If you order sushi from the grocery store you will be blown away. If you are from Japan you will feel right at home. Don’t take a first date here, she will dump you and marry the chef.

I came on Saturday at 2pm. The restaurant wasn’t busy. It is located in a nice quiet corner. Feels like a hidden gem. Good quality seafood and big pieces for the price! I ordered the sushi and sashimi set, more than enough food for one or two people. I ordered an extra pair of nigiri of octopus and squid. Both were great to finish with, but the squid was an amazing finish to the set. The squid is tender and sweet. *drools*

I loved the sushi and decor! This was an amazing find, definitely one of the best sushi places around! Even the miso soup and seaweed salad was way better than most places I’ve been to. You can tell that they really care about their sushi when the side dishes get special attention like that.

Quite a solid sushi spot! Staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. The space is cozy and fun, though the music choice (slow, sad piano ballads) clashed with the decorations and dampened the vibe.

Pretty sure I have tried all the sushi spots around Arlington over the years and Takeshi is definitely my favorite for simple, fresh sushi. I’ve done both dine in and take out a few times and they’ve all been good experiences so far. Very friendly staff too. Also, I’d personally recommend their Chirashi because it’s good quality and a great deal.

10/10 will not regrett comming here! I’m hard to please and very picky with my asain cuisine but the food was delicious. We ordered the deluxe sushi combo and fried gyozo along with tonkatsu ramen. I’d say it was the best tasting broth I’ve had. Perfectly smooth and creamy! The price was decent aswell. Staff was super kind! Definitely would reccomend this small cute place.
