The food and service was good and fairly cheap. For $14 each my boyfriend and I got the combination dinner, which includes your choice of soup, an egg roll, fried rice, a crab angel, and your choice of 16 different entrees. The food was hot and seemed fresh. My vegetables in my sweet and sour chicken were not cooked however. The crab angel was decent but a bit chewy and more cheddar tasting. The service was fairly good but it took forever to get the check and boxes. They also charged around $4 for a soda. Overall, pretty good for your money but nothing to write home about.

Amazing experience we’re from Orlando Florida Where you can get Chinese food Is anywhere you want. was trying to find the perfect spot for my wife to me for some authentic Chinese food and my God Golden Phoenix thank God you are there. My wife is Originally from China and she says it’s exactly like you’re back home in China. You will never go hungry on how Much food you get with such a low price. A lot of the food there should’ve been priced at $20 or little bit more but I love that’s so much can’t wait to go back and have some more. I know our 1st stop when we come back to rapid we’ll be the golden Phoenix.

The food wasn’t that great, 3 stars at best. I had never seen a wonton soup with dark broth and ham before. The 3 delights dish I ordered had a very strong bamboo shot taste I didn’t like. The hot and sour soup just tasted only of black pepper. The Mongolian beef and the egg rolls were good.

We put off trying Chinese in Rapid City because of the bad reviews. But finally in the area and it was lunch and we were hungry. Walked in the restaurant was very nice and full of people! So I was excited and it’s been so long since having some good Chinese. Fried rice is bland. Mongolian beef small portion over sweet and bad quality meat. Orange chicken in dark sauce and not good flavor, no orange zest or any quality ingredients. The egg rolls a bad flavor. Even the Cheese Rangoon were stale and hard. How this restaurant is full don’t understand. Super disappointing.

Let me start by saying I have never left a review. This was outlandish enough for me to leave one. My family and I have eaten here since I was a child. Unfortunately this is the last time I will dine here again. Our waitress was horribly rude. She sat us and impatiently asked we move our menus to the side so she could dress the table because she didn’t have time. Ask we hurry with our orders. Our refills were not full. Took our cards then came back and said she HERSELF would put 15% tip on our card. Then went over our amounts again and again asking for a tip. We were going to leave cash on the table as cash is usually the preferred tip. She then followed us out to the parking lot asking for $5? Never have experienced this in my life. We will be watching our statements to see if there was added money. I wish I could give 0 stars. Food was great though.

The food here has always been amazing! Quality definitely has not decreased since Covid. Service is timely but seems unfriendly for the most part. The atmosphere has not changed much since working here in my teens. I think the atmosphere would be better if soft music was played in the dining room rather than hearing everyone’s loud chatter and eating.

Thank goodness I did not stay to eat here. I went with My whole family of 10 and sat down to eat. The old lady who was serving us was so rude. Fist of all I don’t know what was going on but look like she was overwhelmed by the big crowd. She started to order us around. We were all looking at each other like what’s going on. Then when we started to give the order we tried to make it easy for her and asked one person to give the entire order to the lady. She was huffing and puffing by the time we gave the 6 soups we wanted. With out taking the entire order she left to the kitchen. We all were in shock. All of us asked “do you guys want to leave” at the same time. So stood up and left. All the other in the restaurant looked frustrated too. After reading the resent reviews we all realized we made the right choice. We survived a bad experience and bad food. We wanted to tell the person at the front desk that we want to leave, looks like he did not care. I don’t know how they have 4.2 stars.

First let me say that we almost always pick restaurants based on Google reviews and generally, we come close to agreeing with the average review. This was the exception to that premise. We stopped there yesterday and were told we could not dine in because the “cook is behind” and they were doing take out only. Not sure how that justifies the cook being behind. Cook is cooking the same food whether it is dine in or take out.
