This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. I’m so happy that they did! I ordered the fried oysters and a garden salad. We saw that they had calamari and asked if the breaded it there or if they bought it breaded. They bread it there so we asked if they could sauté some for us without the breading (my husband is gluten sensitive). My hubby ordered the calamari, the chicken and andouille sausage gumbo and a Caesar salad. The calamari was delicious! My oysters were cooked to perfection and very tasty. The gumbo was superb. The salads were well portioned and great. I cannot wait to go back!!

If you’re a true food lover, I insist you pay a visit to this incredible restaurant. Located just a few miles off your beach route, nestled between a Mexican market and a Dollar General, this unassuming gem will astound you with its exquisite culinary delights. Trust me, I’m grateful I don’t live closer; otherwise, I’d be indulging here excessively.

So glad to have found this little gem. Gator bites were so tender and delicious. The blackened scallops were perfection. The chicken and andouile sausage gumbo with cornbread was so tasty. Collards and fried catfish was really good. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything here. Plus amazing service by Lisa!! She was an absolute joy and so friendly. We loved her and every single dish we had.

Small place so you may have to wait but it was worth the wait. Jambalaya was outstanding. Large portions. Bayou shrimp was delicious. Flounder Frances was very tasty, that was this day’s special. Nice size corn bread and I recommend the Mississippi mud pie.

This is the perfect example of “if the food is good it doesn’t matter the location of the restruant”. This unassuming restraunt was the highlight of our trip. We ate from Lewes to Dewey Beach to Rehoboth. Po Boys was BY FAR our favorite! Lisa the server was very helpful and personal and had nothing but great things to say about the owner and his cuisine. We had the fried shrimp po boy sandwich on a locally sourced bun. And Jambalaya. Both were fantastic. This place is awkwardly placed on the rear of a dollar general. We drove by looking for it twice and couldn’t find it. We had to call the restraunt to actually locate it. My only complaint is I WISH we would have found this place at the beginning of our trip instead of the end of it… MANY more dishes we would have liked to try!!!

AMAZING! Friendly and quick service (we only spent 45 mins total there). The food is top notch. We have a pretty good southern food place near us but nothing like this. If we lived closer we would put this in our frequent rotation but will definitely put it on “must eat here” list whenever we are down here! Get the appetizer scallops with caper lemon butter. Best scallops I’ve ever had.

Can I give this a 10? Food was fresh and excellent. Arrived at 1:45 pm on a Saturday and the dining room was packed – had to wait 15 minutes for a seat. Mostly local clientele and I see why. Everything was fantastic, authentic Creole.

Literally the best restaurant in Delaware. Lots of happy and satisfied folks, and a steady stream of take away customers.I have literally had everything on their menu at least once and am hard pressed to choose a favorite. Also, hands down, the best meal for your money in the whole state.

What a great find! This restaurant doesn’t stand out from the road, but it’s a gem. We had dinner on a busy Saturday night with all tables full and the staff was still attentive and welcoming. Not only were we well cared for, but the food was excellent. We had the jambalaya, gumbo, fried green tomatoes, and cornbread. Too full for desert, we had the buttermilk pie and bread pudding to go. The staff gladly packaged it up and wrote a note for how to re-heat. Desert was delicious even the next morning. All reasonably priced and good portion sizes.
