I am here quite often, just sitting at the bar working or reading. All the food I have had is delicious, and keeps me coming back. The staff are always friendly and clearly work hard to provide great service. Compared to other nearby places the prices are very reasonable. If you have not tried this place, you are missing out.

I recently visited Forbidden Root and was pleased! Great atmosphere, food and service. I had the Mandarina Spritz which just tasted like sparkling juice lol. I also had the lasagna dip(not pictured) and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. My least favorite was the lasagna dip, the taste was fine but I kind of expected more. It was a bowl of marinara sauce with a scoop of ricotta in the middle( which is stated on the menu) almost soupy, it did come with some delicious spinach pasta chips though! Loved the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich so I will definitely be back!

Stopped by for lunch at the bar. I would recommend the small plates. We loved the sauerkraut balls and burrata! Food came out fast. They were also happy to split our entre for us. I really enjoyed the peach wit.

We had a really great dinner experience here on a Friday evening. Staff was very accommodating and I was surprised that they were able to seat a party of 7 without a wait. The food was delicious – I particularly enjoyed their grilled salmon burger which was seasoned nicely. I also enjoyed the lively ambience and lighting. Overall awesome restaurant in Easton and will definitely return here!

One of the best restaurant experiences in Columbus I’ve had. Wife and I went on a Thursday night for my birthday and it was fairly slow. The waiter was extremely accommodating offering many free samples without even asking for them. Truly passionate about the product and it showed. They had some interesting guest taps as well. A nice rye lager from a Chicago brewery etc…

This was only my second time dining at Forbidden Root and have been extremely satisfied both time. My partner and I started with the pork and sauerkraut balls and 6-piece wings with white Alabama sauce. The pork and sauerkraut balls were amazing; the wings were cooked perfectly, but I didn’t care for the white sauce as it just tasted like mayonnaise. For the entrees, I had the salmon sandwich with was perfect and a nice change. The salmon was cooked to perfection and served hot, the spicy slaw was excellent. My partner ordered the FR burger and to his surprise it was cooked exactly how he ordered (doesn’t happen most places). Forbidden Root is a great place to grab dinner before a movie or while shopping. Great atmosphere.

Tried Forbidden Root for our 14th anniversary and we impressed. Service and food were phenomenal. Great atmosphere. Tried 6 of their beers, a beer cheese and crackers, the pork and sauerkraut balls, and the duck and dumplings. Delicious and will definitely be back.

Food and service was great! It’s a great location and very cool building. Highly recommend thier Nashville hot chicken sandwich! It’s nice and juicy and the right amount of spice. They have a great selection of craft beers and do allow sampling.

It was a fun place with a cool vibe. I had a hot chicken sandwich which was very tasty, candied bacon that tasted very sweet, and some chips as well. The bacon might gave been better like hard. I was happy with the sandwich, was really what I was looking for and tasted great. The wait time was really long, much longer than the eta that was given, and we had to stand the entire time. I’d go again and would get that sandwich again. The service was pretty standard, the appetizers were given after the meals were served for some reason.
