Wow is this place different. No bone in chicken. No Bojangles bites. What gives? Pro tip for this place and all others reading: Ask the customer if they want their food on a plate or in a box. Every order I witnessed coming out was in a box and a quick glance around the dining room showed everyone eating out of a box. Now I for one don’t wanna sit at a table and pick my food out of a box an seeing these people do so seems downright disheartening. Especially for a truck stop where every trucker has eaten like this for weeks on end. Yes we’d definitely prefer a plate. Yes you can afford it to give both. I was in industry 18 years and never would do that to anyone except to go customers. Please take note

Very few Bojangles in central Illinois if any. This was the first time I stopped here. The food was really flavorful and spiced well. The chicken is not bland at all. My only gripe would be on the fries. They were way way too salty to be enjoyable, borderline inedible. They have a lot of nice sauces to choose from. Their biscuits were soft and pillowy. They have different jellies you can use and honey for the biscuits. Overall this was a good first experience, despite the fries being oversalted.

Okay so first and foremost, I give the chicken 5 stars, as well as the Mac and cheese. The sweet tea……3 star at best…sorry but true. Okay so now the reason behind the 3 star review. The cashier (apparently new or still training) didn’t know the menu well, (it’s understandable) but charged me for a meal with fries, which I didn’t receive fries….or whatever bo-rounds are that they asked me for, I told them that would work and they just nodded and walked away. Ordered a 5 piece tender (mmmm tendies) and had to ask for ranch (no big right?) welll…..common sense would say that a 5 piece chicken tender combo would need more then one small container of ranch (had to get up and ask for another) which isn’t a huge deal, I get that they are still opening up and still learning. so 3 stars for now, if I can stop back in again sometime, I’ll do another review and see how or if they have improved, either way…good food.

As someone who grew up in North Carolina and eats at Bojangles regularly, I can say for sure that yes – this is the real deal. The biscuits are perfectly flakey, and a delightful disaster to eat in your car. The seasoning on the fries is perfection. Pro tip: order a chicken, egg, and pimento cheese biscuit. You’ll end up covered in it, but it’s well worth it!

Chicken looks like it was left out overnight, probably over cooked. Either way does not taste right or look appetizing. Customers service is lacking. Overall a bad experience especially for a new facility

They need to learn about seasoning. Bland. Fries overcooked, biscuits not good, chicken tenders no flavor. The dirty rice was the best thing there and it was okay. Service sucked. Wont be going back there.

The food was good no complaints there. Usually is. This location was 100% out of sweet tea in any of their urns. I actually had to suggest opening a gallon or half gallon to provide sweet tea to myself and other customers. First time ever I have run into a Bojangles out of their legendary sweet tea

I had Bojangles for the first time last year at an airport and loved it. Unfortunately there weren’t any close to me but I found out they opened one an hour away and went to it. Yummy! Just like I remembered. The chicken was crispy and I like the fries alot. The biscuit was really good too! The employees were very friendly. It didn’t kill me to get up to ask for more ranch or wing sauce. This Bojangles is at a truck stop so there’s plenty of parking. I highly recommend it if you like good chicken.

So glad we got a Bo’s and it’s in Normal. I’ve been here more times than I care to admit considering at the time of this review they’ve only been open 3 weeks. Service is always quick and friendly. I know it’s a chicken place but their biscuits are where it’s at. You can’t go wrong with a breakfast sandwich or my favorite, the gravy biscuit. Get yourself some Bo-rounds and dip em in the gravy (chef’s kiss) and the bo-berry biscuit 10/10 Now onto the chicken, no they currently don’t have regular bone in chicken but the chicken sandwich and tenders are delicious. The tenders are good sized too not like some places. The house made ranch is delicious as expected. The only side I’ve had are the fries and the seasoning on them is really good. Any negative reviews at this point are issues to be expected when a place is brand new, if you can’t deal with the hiccups of a brand new place, stay away until after the first month
