We happened upon this adorable French Homestyle Cafe for brunch, and we are so glad we did. Reservations are recommended, but we lucked out with an open table. The atmosphere was so charming and intimate, the food was incredible, and the service was great. We will be bringing friends with us next time.

I am fortunate to have been able to try La Kitchenette one time before they close for good. Everything was delicious and service was great. I wish I had been here sooner to try more of their menu!

This little ray of heavenly sunshine is the perfect brunch café. The options were diverse, portions were perfect, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Walking in, you are hit with a savory aroma. Small place, but we felt like we had found a hidden gem. Noise level was minimal. A peek at the evening wine list was enough to encourage a dinner visit next time we are in town!

I ordered the buckwheat pancake with spinash goat cheese tomatoes so it tasted ok I just wished the pancake had been freshly cooked and not looking like I was eating a rap… I have a reference of eating crêpes back home in Bretagne so my standards are pretty high…My husband (he s not French) ordered the epinard crêpe he liked it overall, he did say he wished the crêpe had been a little wider and thicker there was more sauce and very little crêpe those were his words…. I will return and eat there again and I do encourage ppl to go and eat at the Kitchenette. I will however not make the same choice next time and might go for an entrée meal this time. We didnt have the option of entrée on Sunday lunch just brunch… For those who have issues with sugar like I do, do not chose the same dessert crêpe I chose (lemon curds crêpe) it s too sweet…… The chocolate sauce isn’t as sweet….

Moving from Indiana it could definitely be hard to adjust….. Coming here to this cozy establishment has really enthralled me! The food is so seasoned to perfection and comes plated absolutely beautifully! The hostess was so knowledgeable about the food and kind enough to accommodate for dinner/brunch. I’m so grateful for this establishment for their gracious service, and delicious food! Thank you!!!!

We’re always looking to try something different and this checked all the boxes! French cuisine with an eclectic flair. It’s a warm and inviting place with friendly and fast service! With how amazing the food was, I was surprised how quickly we were served! Everything from the White tea to the Chicken Doria and the Lavender Creme Brûlée were phenomenal!

This restaurant has become one of our favorite restaurants in Madison. My wife and I have come twice, and both times, the servers were delightful to us and super accomodating.

Visiting from out of town and decided to stop in for saturday brunch — only to realize there was a long wait without reservation. We decided to make a reservation for Sunday and come back and wow am I glad we did. This small, intimate-feeling cafe had some of the best food I’ve ever eaten

An absolute gastronomic gem! La Kitchenette is a small, intimate, and charming artisanal restaurant with exceptional service and fantastic food. Take note that reservations are a MUST if you want to get a table vs turned away–especially on weekends. And while there is usually street parking close by, be advised that this restaurant is not handicap accessible.
