Came to Iowa city for a doctor visit, came by myself today to try the food as I’ve been missing home. I am Laotian and it’s hard to find good Thai and Lao food in my area. Got the Chicken egg rolls, very good, extremely crispy, dipping sauce is authentic. Also got the Papaya salad, Beef laap and beef pad see ew with sticky rice and a Thai iced tea and that was all pretty good as well especially the Thai tea, very rich and sweet. They also give you a little salad and the dressing was A++++ so good. Cook/owner came out to greet me and she was very sweet and kind. Very cute and clean inside. Loved the spice level, got a 5 for everything. I spent about $60 but I did order a lot of food as our culture is used to having multiple dishes to enjoy. I don’t mind paying for what I want. They do have a lunch menu that was pretty reasonable. Would recommend and would go again if I’m in the area.

I mistakenly ordered from here because this restaurant has the same name as another Thai restaurant in Iowa City. They are no longer owned by the same people. So don’t make the same mistake I did. I ordered the Tom Yum soup, which was pretty good, but not the same as the OG restaurant with the same name. The Tom yum soup did not have noodles, and It came with fried tofu, when I just wanted soft tofu. The food was good, but please consider changing the name of this restaurant. Have your own unique identity.

Phenomenal food as well as phenomenal service. I got their house rice soup with beef, so delicious. The ultimate comfort food, warm and filling with such good spices. Can’t wait to come back!

No idea how this place has such great reviews. 5 of us went out for an early dinner. We were the only people there at 6pm on a Saturday night. The waiter acted as if it was an imposition to have to bother with us. I had to literally go get him off his phone to order some apps while we were waiting for 2 of our party. He brought water for the table, but never asked if we would like anything to drink. He did come and refill the waters twice. Took our food orders promptly and the food did come quickly.

Update: added a photo of the salad! Apparently it’s called the yai yum? Salad with the clear peanut vinaigrette! Could eat it every day

Food was bland. Had to ask multiple times for condiments and when they arrived they were empty. Two ppl said their duck dishes were ok. They also put gratuity on a party of five, Idk how they applied it after tax. Staff seemed absolutely disinterested in us and had to be asked to take piled dishes in the way.

Thai Spice Noodles Pad Thai chicken had great flavor & you can choose how spicy you would like your dish. The waitress/hostess was very sweet & friendly. I enjoy some hot tea & a great glass of wine with my meal.

Great service! Was not full when we went and we got a great corner to sit. The ambience was great!

Okay/good food, large portions, poor service… Oddly poor service for being the only customers there; the waitress couldn’t answer any questions about the food and was very antsy to get her tip and scoot us out. The noodles were very good but I do not recommend the “meatballs.”
