The food is average but the price is fantastic. I tried the mini hotdogs with the works. They were more like a chili dog than upstate NY meat sauce hot dog. The burger and fries were good. The rice pudding was homemade so, better than the store bought but not quite as good as Grandma’s recipe. It’s nice to see a little mom and pop place like this is still open. You can fill up without shelling out a lot of money.

Uniquely authentic lunch counter. It’s really a fascinating operation considering how little space there is. The food was good, and I was able to feed a group of five for just over $30. Granted, it was lunch and the portion sizes matched the low price point, but nobody left hungry. All in all, a cool experience.

Headed to their hot dog cart during Troy’s pig out event and got a few mini dogs. Only tried the hot dogs so would like to return and try some more of their menu.

Not just a greasy spoon. It’s not just an aesthetic. This place is the real deal. Why have one got dog when you can have two, why have two hot dogs when you can have four covered in meat sauce and mustard. The little dogs are so cute and satisfying to eat. But don’t miss the burger. It doesn’t look like much but it’s truly special. The fries are also perfect. Wish I could be a regular here

This place has change, knew prices would be higher, but the sauce tasted funny like something was left out. Even though Tony wasn’t there, and it was a little crowded never stood and waited 15mins before someone waited on me, had to tell the young man three times 25 with the works

I’ve been going since I was a child. My parents and grandfather knew the owner, so growing up this was the place to go. Unfortunately this visit was unpleasant. The one young fellow who was doing pretty everything was amazing. His attitude was great and he was going as fast as he could. But the young lady doing the hot dogs was absolutely rude and did not know how to make hot dogs with the works. The mustard was overpowering and honestly, the sauce tasted burnt. I was very disappointed in the amount of money we paid.

I’ve been going to this place since I was 5 years old..61 one years. Very disappointed. Ordered 18 dogs 10 with the works and 8 with ketchup mustard relish. The girl said they no longer put relish on them told me ketchup was in packets but they would put mustard on them These dogs were to go. rolls were hard dogs hard too as they were overcooked barely any meat sauce certainly and not the service I have always received.

Finally stopped at this legendary joint. Was in a rush so only had time to try the dogs, but they were excellent! Got em all the way. Chili was really good, dogs had good texture and taste. ProTip: be careful with the orange grease…it stains EVERYTHING!! Wish I had time to sit and try more stuff on the menu, but I will definitely be back! Bonus points for the old school RC Cola lineup.
