Five stars for the Adobada tacos! The ordering process is confusing and hilariously inefficient, especially for a non-Spanish speaker. I had a sweet guy offer to be my translator and guide me through the process. Adobada is basically al pastor with a spicy sauce, he said. The guy working there said they’re the same thing. You just get the taco with everything (including sauce), or you don’t. I was just glad to get my tacos! We only tried the carne asada and adobada meat. I liked both but would get the fries with the adobada meat next time. And the fries take forever. A delicious and fun experience, especially if you don’t have time to cross the border!

I’m told of all the Tacos El Gordo locations, this is the best one! We weren’t disappointed and if I ever found myself in the area, I’d stop. It’s a bit chaotic inside to order and get your food and then pay but it’s worth it.

There’s a reason this place is so busy you can’t find a parking spot. The food is bomb. I drove out from El Cajon to eat there on a Friday night. It was completely packed with people. But it was worth it.

By far the best tacos I’ve tasted in San Diego. I’ve gone to a couple locations and they are all excellent. The lengua tacos are delicious! Make sure you get some cebollitas y chiles salteados too! The staff is awesome too. Friendly and efficient.

Amazing experience and wonderful food! Everything was delicious and the style of serving was very unique. We enjoyed our time there and liked the food. The tacos were all great and their pork tacos are the best. Their fries is also amazing. They have drive true and also outside seating available. Definitely a must!
