Great little restaurant. The owners came out and greeted us. Mexican Mom herself recommended dishes for us and was able to offer a substitute that worked well for my wife. Food is all freshly made from scratch. Delicious.

Exceptional! The food was so amazing and full of flavor. Our server was so kind. The atmosphere in here is top notch as well. You feel comfort and the family vibe when you walk in. The menu changes with weekly specials but I guarantee you will find a delicious dish no matter what you choose.

First impression was a clean but very homey place…exactly like going to your Mexican friend or family’s place for dinner. The more we sat, the more we noticed and the more comfortable and appealing the atmosphere became. The owner quickly ran from the kitchen when I placed my purse on the floor and put it up on a step-stool, letting me know that in Mexico, the custom says you can’t do that or you lose all your money. It was incredibly endearing and made us feel like we were amongst friends, and not just guests at a typical restaurant with meal prepared by someone you’ll never see. That feeling continued as we watched her and other employees dance as they prepped the meals.

My friend and I, eating here for the first time, were a little disappointed that they didn’t serve chips and salsa. However, our friendly server brought us some delicious verde salsa with chips. As an appetizer we had the queso fundido with chorizo and homemade tortillas. This was excellent. For entrees we had a beautifully plated chicken enchiladas Verde with some wonderful refried beans, and one of the weekly specials, tacos Matamoros with tender sirloin beef and queso fresco and avocado. What a different Mexican food experience. We get kind of jaded in Texas–Mexican food is everywhere. It’s fun to find a unique place with a new approach and a different menu. Mexico is a big beautiful country, and the food is quite regional; we often don’t appreciate the differences from state to state. AND the menu changes every week! I can’t wait to see what this place offers next week.

I finally made it to this restaurant and I was blown away! The food is delicious and the serves is great. The ambiance is so cozy and I loved the couch seating I enjoyed using on my visit. This isn’t your typical Texmex cheese smothered dishes. It’s very much home cooked and every bite is pack with delicious flavor. I also appreciate their attention to detail when it comes to plating my food. I recommend all the empanadas, the lasagna, chilaquiles, and the chocolate tres leches cake. I will definitely be coming back!

Go! Here! Now! What a graceful and delicious place, and the food is that and more! We had all of their empanadas choices, and they were each perfection. The “Mexican Mom” flavors were balanced perfectly. We wanted so much more of the Poblano Rajas. The Chicken and Cheese is “perfect heat” indeed. And the dessert, “Empanadas de Manzana” is splendid. We will triple that order next time. Thank you so much.
