This restaurant is beautiful. My wife & I went for dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious. I can’t post our main course bc I made it a video. I will definitely be coming back again.

Update***** I went back today for their happy hour specials. The drinks were better than the food. The sliders were awful. The wagyu burgers were dry. The chicken sliders tasted like mystery meat. The worst part of the sliders is that they were on potato buns you can purchase at your local grocery store. Other than the great server trying to rectify the situation, I don’t recommend eating at their happy ever!! The place was a ghost town and I now know the reason. The restaurant should invest in quality of the happy hour food as isn’t in comparison to the brunch, lunch , or dinner quality. I would recommend going to a happy hour like Southern Cross or anywhere else in the area for a better experience!

Stopped by Hook & Ladder for an after work drink. Selection is pretty good and service was quick. The environment is definitely more elevated than the typical bar in the area which makes it a great business casual option.

What an intriguing new entry to the Conshy dining scene. Very cool decor. Lively vibe. Outstanding meats. And an incredibly fun and delicious $99 burger.

The service was amazing, from the moment we arrived all the staff was attentive, and welcoming. Our server was funny and so engaged, plus the chef even came out to meet us while it was quite busy. The oysters were delicious with the champagne vinaigrette adding the perfect brightness and acidity. My waygu was cooked perfectly, and the braised short rib my best friend had was also wonderful. Even the drink that the waiter recommended was perfect for what I was craving that evening. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a some time.

Atmosphere is the best part of this place. Being born and raised in the area I was excited to try out this new high-end spot for a special occasion but it fell short. Prices aside, portions are tiny and our server Alex was mediocre at best. He seemed uninterested and didn’t really go above and beyond to create an experience. My steak was overdone, which I didn’t complain about, because we had waited so long for the entrees we were starving. They did comp our dessert for my birthday but overall it was very lackluster, the best part was seeing the way they beautifully renovated the firehouse!

Hook & Ladder had a great vibe this past Friday night. Live music, great cocktails and one of the most tender steaks I’ve ever had. The tuna bite appetizer and my wife’s salmon were delicious.

If your preference solely relies on atmosphere, I highly recommend this restaurant. But, if you would like tasty and food given with good service, this is not the place for you. After being completely ignored by the manager and needing to just find my way to my friends who were seated, I was informed by them as to why we were not sitting at our reserved table in the dining room. She said that she was told by this same rude manager that she “didn’t fit the dress code” (she was giving a sporty look). As we looked around the room, our white counterparts were dressed pretty casually, but I guess their whiteness was their luxury. After this was followed by a disappointing night of a rude waiter, an hour and 15 min wait for our food, and small portioned and overpriced meals that were dry, unseasoned, and cold. The menu’s $99 burger wrapped in gold could not even salvage the abhorrent experience. So, if you are looking for a great aesthetic, I’d give this place its flowers. But if you are looking to be treated with kindness/respect with great service to match while eating a great meal…go to Chillis.
