My daughter and granddaughter were visiting us over the weekend. They love Mexican food and I do too. We have tried other Mexican restaurants in town, but Los Portales is our favorite. The food is warm and delicious.

Not sure what happened since last month. Was served bowl of chip crumbs. Not a single full chip? Really is it that hard to open a fresh bag? Ask for separate checks, FAILED that request as well. Was the only customers in bar at 11am. Expected better service than that. Won’t be back.

This was our second time there. The first time, i was not impressed. My husband talked me into trying it again. I am so thankful he did. The carne asada tacos on corn tortillas was awesome! Both times, the service was good. I suggest going ang trying those tacos. You’re won’t regret it! Throw in a jumbo margarita while you’re at it

We’ve eaten here plenty of times, and most are good experiences. This visit I ordered steak and shrimp. The steak was extremely thin, and the shrimp was “barely warm” and didn’t look grilled at all. I was very disappointed in the food. The service was great. As far as the food..I should have sent it back. They weren’t too crowded so I expected better food for the price we paid honestly.
