Don’t do what I did. I ordered all chicken meals and it was a very one note experience. The best thing I ate was the nachos. The food was very hot. The staff was fantastic and attentive. They have Pepsi products. Not a fan of the enchiladas.

I got the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. Everything was really good, though it would have been so much better had the enchiladas been made with corn tortillas rather than flour. It just felt like very white people Mexican food. Also, chips and salsa are a purchase, not complimentary. I feel like chips and salsa should be part of the experience. I do love that it’s in the Passageway!

Trini’s is a cute little place with a nice atmosphere in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it basement of an old building. I enjoyed the food very much! I ordered a steak fajita platter. Service was fast and our server checked on us regularly. The food was plentiful, more on the platter than I could in my three tiny flour tortillas. The star is knocked off because they nickel and dime you for anything extra. You want sour cream? A dollar. You want guac? A dollar. You want chips and salsa with your meal? That will cost you too. Not your standard procedure for a Mexican restaurant.

Great spot in the old market to sit down and catch an inexpensive meal. Fish tacos were great! Drinks were weak, though.

It took me 8 years of living in Omaha to finally come check this super neat business out. The scenery is simply beautiful and a “must-visit” if you’re a tourist. The food was really good. My only complaint is that I usually prefer Mexican restaurants that offer complimentary chips and salsa rather than charging for it. But hey, capitalism right?

My boyfriend and I went to Trini’s on a Friday night. I have wanted to come here for years but have just never had the chance to. The atmosphere is beautiful with the brick and the greenery of the passageway. Although it’s loud because of the small space, the quaintness of it makes it worth it! We got the queso as an appetizer and not a drip of it was left behind because it was yummy! My boyfriend cleaned his plate of enchiladas (I think he got a #6) and I got the combination #2 (pictured). The food was really great! Our waitress was friendly and efficient as well! The price was awesome! We will be back during some of our future date nights!

I love the puff tacos from here! It’s one of my favorites in the area. Trini’s is a hidden gem in the old market passageway. It’s an extremely small space, I’ve normally gone in between meal times to avoid the crowd.

This was the best dinner we had on our long weekend trip! The service was amazing, food was spectacular, and the building itself was so cool! It was busy but they got us in quite quick and we never felt like we were waiting for service and also never felt rushed. The portions were just the perfect size and the price was very reasonable.

I loved this place! I wish i never went back so i just had that wonderful memories from my last ever visit. We dined in here because i was thrilled to go back and have my loved ones experience what I experienced. But the waiter never checked on us. Never refilled the water and after half an hour she just slid the checks like trying to hurry us up to go. We left the restaurant all so thirsty for water!! Because the waiter made us feel like were inconvenienced . The food was horrible its like frozen food. I loved this place! I really do. I remember the food , drinks and service was amazing! I dont think i can say the same thing no more

If you like “Mexican” that is actually just Midwestern American food, then this place is for you. I ordered two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, a standard at most Mexican diners, and instead of the usual queso blanco filling it’s just shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack from a grocery store. Similarly, their tomato salsa looks like the type you buy at Costco and clearly is not homemade. Such a disappointment for how much they charge. I won’t be returning.
