We were warmly welcomed when we walked through the doors. Our service was very good. All of the staff appeared to be polite and kind to those they were serving.

Mixed review. First the bad then the good. Hamburger pre-fab frozen? Waited half hour and asked ‘where’s the food’? Not pleasurable when someone who arrived 10 minutes later gets served before you. Maybe order the fried chicken next time, the rumored specialty and fast tracked item? Okay the good. tenderloin & philly steak sandwiches favorable. Reuben sandwich unusual almost ribeye beeflike and tender tan, not typical red salty corned beef. So I had to ask and was told it was corned beef. Light on sauerkraut but plenty of 1k dressing. Hmmm was that rye bread? Maybe not. Reasonable prices. Fairly busy for early afternoon. Courteous service, but no real conversation. All business. Would try again but if mixed then stars drop…

Lunch in Morristown. This time it’s Bluebird. Decided upon the shrimp basket. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. What I do want to give a shout-out about is the coleslaw. It’s rare to find that place that does excellent coleslaw, but Bluebird did it. Thank you for a nice lunch stop. The only thing that I noticed was due to COVID-19 there is no salad bar.

Excellent food, service fantastic… far better than I expected since we had over 20 in our party. We were celebrating the passing of our dear family member, Kathleen Who was a regular at the Bluebird. Thank you for making it an amazing experience.

Clean, spacious restaurant that actually started back in the 30’s and moved a bit down the street from it’s original location. Though many owners have come and gone, they all kept the tradition alive to serve their family’s favorite recipes to your table. The wait may seem long, but knowing you’re getting a home cooked meal, with the best fried chicken around, it’s well worth the wait! Don’t forget dessert…homemade pies like apple, blueberry, rhubarb, chocolate chip, chocolate cream or sugar cream…yum! The staff is very friendly and the prices were great! Though we were just passing through on a long trip back home, we decided to go 16 miles off the expressway to try this place out and glad we did!

The food was good. However the portions were extremely small like 8 fries total and maybe a 1/4 cup of meat with one onion sliver on what looked to be a Hawaiian roll for the Philly cheesesteak. I think I found a speck of green pepper. So other than that it was good just not a grown man’s meal.

Food was fresh and tasty. Pies are wonderful, made by scratch! But I ordered chef salad with out green peppers and it was full of them. I can’t eat them because I just had surgery on my stomach and the waitress didn’t care.

Honestly service wasn’t terrible although it did take a little while to get the waitress to give us a check. The main thing is the food which is okay but definitely not worth the price. I would just eat at KFC if you want fried chicken.

We had the fried chicken dinner for 4. It was very tasty, moderately priced, and the slice of pie at the end was wonderful. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. We would definitely go again.

Food was delicious as usual. Our waitress might have gotten more of a tip from the group we were with if she smiled once in awhile because she was good at making sure our request were met. Staff issues like this are not isolated to this restaurant but seems to be very common everywhere.
