I have been to this Dunkin’ location several times and always placed mobile orders. This time, as those before, the order was waiting for me when I entered and correctly made. The staff were busy but made themselves available for greetings and additional purchases. Good consistent service equals a thank you Dunkin’!

Walked in this morning to treat myself to coffee and a donut and the young lady behind counter just stared at me. So I smiled and asked how she was doing today. She continued to scowl and said “fine”. I paused for a moment but when it was clear she wasn’t going to say “hello” or “how May I help you” or any other word except “fine”, I turned around, walked out, and treated myself to Starbucks where they were happy I stopped in.

Oh jeez. Well first off, since the Kenwood Dunkin is being remodeled, this was the next closest one that takes mobile orders, but that’s not their fault. All she wanted was a blueberry muffin. My fiance had been talking about wanting one since she woke up. I placed my mobile order and when I went to pick it up, they said they were out of blueberry muffins and I could either A) have blueberry donuts instead (no, not the same), B) get a store credit (I already drove this far once, I don’t want to have to again), or C) get a refund for the muffins. I went with C. So I get the rest of the food to my fiance and everything seemed cool. Disappointing, but cool. Then we got to the hash browns. She asked if they smelled funny, or anything to me, cuz they tasted weird. I took a big whiff. They smelled like bleach or some kind of cleaner or something. So I called the store, just to let them know. I asked to speak to a manager, and they put me on hold. The manager argued with me that it wasn’t possible, that they don’t use bleach on the oven or anywhere around food. I know, only food grade sanitizer. Once she stopped arguing with me, and listened, she realized I wasn’t trying to get something else, I just wanted to let them know. She offered another store credit, but it wasn’t worth the drive for $2 hash browns. I wasn’t worried about being reimbursed anyway, I just wanted to let them know, so no one else was stuck with this chemical taste in their mouth. So unfortunately, my experience with them was awful and they tried to make it right, but I will not be going there again.
