Went for the lunch special and I had a great experience. I had “ sopa de pollo con vegetales “ which came an option of grilled chicken or beef steak with a house salad, white rice and sweet plantains. The proportions were good and came out quickly, which is exactly what you want on your work lunch. The restaurant has huge windows that let fresh air in but also has outdoor dining. I was told that they have a full bar with music playing in the evening. Will be back.

Arepa Express is great spot in Passaic NJ. The food, service and prices are amazing. Jenny the owner is hands on and is super accommodating. The neighborhood loves this business and it shows. The restaurant has a constant flow of customers and in conversation with Mayor Lora of Passaic we both agreed that it’s a spot everyone should visit while in Passaic. Way to go Arepa Express.

Nice clean place. The wait staff very nice and friendly. Typical colombian food. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s my first time here. I need to try more things on the menu. I will definitely come back and try the stuffed arepas and juice.

I like it, the location and the layout, menu is nice variety of Colombian arepas with everything (beef, chicken , shrimp) price – quality range is good, the downside: servers could be better, nice place to have a snack or lunch.

Customer service is amazing. My friend and I got arepas, I got chicken and she got carne/steak. It was really good!!! I got bread, since it was late unfortunately the bread was not nice & warm like it usually is. I just wished it was heated up or where they stored them could the bread the bread warm. I got lemonade, I don’t recommend the lemonade it did not taste very good. Overall it was a good & tasty experience. The main dish the arepas are worth it and delicious. I look forward to coming back and trying more things on the menu.
