Quality of food and ambiance is up to il Buco standard, with nicely curated menu and balanced flavors highlighting fresh, seasonal ingredients. The focaccia pizza, burrata appetizer and the prawns are great, and save room for the signature panne cotta with balsamic vinegar. Unfortunately, service during lunch was a bit slow and careless.

The food was great, everything was super light and refreshing. The drinks were very tasty and strong. But the one thing that stood out the most was how friendly the staff were.

We had a group dinner here, and Christina was our server, we all were raving about how amazing it was. The food is really creative, but it is so well done. The chicken in particular was a favorite, but we couldn’t decide if the steak had it beat. We would definitely recommend checking the spot out and we will absolutely be back. Thanks so much for a great dinner!

Food is good. No options for kids. Service non existent. The waitstaff were great at keeping water on the table, but never cleared plates from apps + never cleared before we left. No one came to check on our table of 9 when our food was delivered, or until I got up to ask for our bill. We did not receive two dishes or the drink my mom ordered when we sat down. We made our reservation two weeks prior, which makes it worse considering the restaurant was not at capacity and we were a planned for table.

We had a fantastic time here. The atmosphere was kind of edgy (in a fun way) compared to normal Italian places. They played 80s rock mostly and the waiters were lively and fun.

I have no idea why there are such negative reviews for Il Buco. The food was fantastic and the fluke crudo was some of the best we ever had. Everything was farm to table, fresh, and I thought the portions were appropriate. The ambiance is lovely (landscaped outdoor seating and beautiful cozy wood panels inside). The restaurant was busy and servers were running around but we still received everything in a timely fashion. This restaurant is definitely closer to 5 stars on Google maps contrary to what the reviews suggest. We almost didn’t go based on the reviews and I am specifically leaving this review to encourage others to not pass this place up.

Best meal out we have had in a very long time. Everything was solid – focaccia, skirt steak and broccolini. Great white wine offering and delicious desserts. Our server Maria was adorable and very accommodating. Hope to head back again soon!

Visited all the way from Texas and it was well worth it. The walk from the train station is absolutely adorable and then you get to il Buco and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The inside of the restaurant has a very warm and cozy feeling. The staff was incredible and so friendly and attentive. We sat in the garden area and it was also very beautiful and felt amazing outside. The food was just amazing. I thought it would be smaller portions so I was happily surprised to see the portion of some the meals ! The mussels in the tin were a personal favorite. I wish I could take this restaurant back to Dallas with me.

I’ll preface my review by noting the food was Really good. We decided to have our NYE meal here because we heard great reviews about the spot in NYC. Generally, the food and the service were fine; however, because we arrived 30 min late, the manager pushed our food out (set menu) before we got our drinks. It was obvious he wanted us out as quickly as possible since the time was nearing midnight. The waiter tried to make up for it by giving us a bottle of bubbly, but the mood was already off. Finally, when we asked where we could go to spend New Years, the waiter said he just received a text message saying the pizza spot on the stretch was “packed.” After the check was brought out – before finishing our dessert – we rushed to the pizza spot. When we arrived we immediately realized the waiter LIED. The pizza spot was closed; we ended spending New Years in the car. Woohoo. ***This review reflects my opinion and not that of the people I was with.***
