The best malted I ever had- as the owner told me!! Suoer super good- thick, delicious, old skool. I tried a new cheese (pimento) which was tasty and they put it on my also tasty burger. The space is obviously an old drugstire- that’s fun, with a working weight machine in the back near some NIB vintage soda shoppe Barbies. But– –

Décor was awesome and staff were really friendly and helpful. Good was good and prices were not too high especially since it’s a tourist destination

Not sure which was better, the service or the food but both were excellent! They were getting ready to close but invited us in to eat anyways. No frowns from workers waiting to go home but rather pleasant smiles from a very friendly staff. The place is filled with pictures and items from the world of Mayberry along with others. The manager came over and insured we were pleased with our meals and service. When passing through Mount Airey “Mayberry” you would be cheating yourself not to stop here.

Food was ok. $17 for a soda, water, double cheeseburger, hotdog & 2 fries. (They do take cards which is a bonus)

The food and customer service was excellent & we will be back if we visit the area. We really enjoyed it.The only aggravation was sitting a foot away from the refrigerator where the drinks were held. It was constantly being opened by the staff & it felt like my husband & I were in the way & it was difficult to enjoy without someone coming up on you every few minutes.

This is my most favorite place to get a burger and crinkle cut fries. The atmosphere is straight from a Andy Griffin show. The owners are very personable and attentive. A visit to Mayberry would not be the same without stopping here.

This is a nice, simple little old-school diner/lunch-counter. We stopped in with a large group (9 of us) on our little tour of “Mayberry” for a late lunch. They were busy but still accomodated us. Service as quick and friendly. They don’t have many selections (some basic sandwich options, hamburgers, hotdogs), but the food was good. My bacon cheeseburger was delicious and my wife really liked her club sandwich. They have some interesting soda beverages (they mix their own sodas, cream sodas, milkshakes, etc..). And the best part, it was CHEAP! All 9 of us for $50 or so. Not bad.

Like stepping back in time! They were very friendly and the food wasn’t bad. And I had my very first hand mixed fountain soda. Yummy.

Had a phosphate soda for the first time! They kept telling me I probably wouldn’t like it, because it’s “bitter.” It was sweet and sour and delicious! (Don’t have much of a sweet tooth.)
