Came in town on a Saturday, and this was the first place I came to. Considering how packed it was, the service was still great, the staff was friendly, and the food was AMAZING!! Can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in Houston.

The brisket potato is great. The meat is moist and potato is soft not hard like some other places serve. My only complaint today was an Employee by the name of “VINA M”. She is one of the ladies that takes your order and checks you out. BAD ATTITUDE! I asked her about their cake desserts, she points over her left shoulder. I asked what size iced tea they have. Again, points over her right shoulder No speech at all. I asked her does their Sweet Tea still have the lemon already in it? She thinks a second then says No. Ok, so I order a large pay an addition $4.28. She doesn’t give me the cup just the receipt. So I go back and get it from another cashier and IT’S GOT LEMON IN IT! If your not sure what your serving then FIND OUT FOR SURE. Don’t point like your talking to a Dog, we are people.

The BEST BBQ place I have eaten at in Houston. The pork sausage snapped and had great flavor, the macaroni had some delicious cheese, and the macaroni salad was refreshingly good. The family loved the brisket. The brisket potato was fully covered in brisket, the nachos had soany good flavors going on. The kids meals had more food than they could eat. 10/10 will go back!

Great customer service!! The lady taking orders was so kind and helpful. We got a chopped brisket potato, brisket sandwich and a 3 meat plate with sausage, ribs, and brisket with mac and cheese and dirty rice for the sides. Everything was ok. Not super flavorful, but not dry either. The Mac and cheese was rather bland and milky. The dirty rice had a good flavor. The potato was loaded down. Would definitely try again.

As soon as I got out of the car, the firewood smoke hit me right in the face and I knew I chose the right place for lunch today! It wasn’t crowded like it normally is which was great. I got the two meat plate. I got brisket and chicken with steak fries and smoked mac and cheese. I also got some peach cobbler for later. The only thing hot were the steak fries. That was a bit disappointing. Other than that, my meal was quite enjoyable! Ray’s Real Pit BBQ Shack for the win!
