We were invited to the invitation exclusive soft run for the upcoming opening. I am so impressed by the quality of the food. The atmosphere is warm and happy. All of the staff are still new Burson energetic and happy to help you with the menu and understanding of the unique items. I am extremely excited to have gotten to be a part of this evenings run. Very successful and I am already planning on coming back in for many occasions. The food was some of the best flavors and the proportions are wonderful. Not a single complaint. I had the pork chops with a bourbon and peach sauce and it was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to get back in and try each of these new dishes. A++++Even their cocktails are hand crafted and so delicious.

The food was excellent and the waiters were just wonderful. My food was very cold and slightly undercooked but they took care of the bill. I loved the appetizers. It was so beautiful outside. Cool decor! I probably wouldn’t return because the owner’s son made a comment to me that cause me to nearly cry. I felt my face become hot with embarrassment. He kept making comments to me and my friend so we finally moved tables because she felt irritated. He was kind of offensive. I’m not sure what the issue was. It was all great except for that guy and his weird comments.

Had a great time there last month! Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The food was good and it’s just a fun place, even on a Thursday night!

I had the grilled salmon on a bed of wild rice, bacon wrapped asparagus, baked potato and a dinner salad. The salmon was perfectly seasoned with Cajun spices. Not too hot—just a little heat. Delicious! Great atmosphere! The prices are awesome! My friend got a huge filet mignon dinner for under 30 bucks. Our waitress was wonderful. We ate after the dinner rush, and she was thankful to have a small group to wait on haha! Overall great experience.

First, why is it so MUSTY up in here?!?! Now that we’ve got that out of the way….. we almost gave this place one single star because in fact they did actually have beer to drink, but the fact that the waitress walked by three separate times and never even acknowledged us and we had to go to the bar ourselves to get our drinks and the bartender who was busy got us a drink we’ll give them two stars… single drink and leave experience for this joint. Could have been a cool place if they didn’t ignore us!

I was very happy about blue boar reopening! They seem to be opening back up slowly which is probably smart. The menu is about a quarter of what it was without any of the Cajun items. I had ribs which were ok. The sides were pretty mediocre (mashed potatoes, baked beans, and red beans and rice). Over priced for what we got.

I was really looking forward to stopping here after we went to Blessing of the Bikes….. They were not busy when we 1st got there…. It was not a great experience….. 2 hours to get food… Multiple times asking about the food multiple times being lied to about what the problem was….. Being served cold food…. Watching other tables come and go and still no food. Half of our party was served and ate an hour before the other half got their food…. Manager did some compensation….. But does not excuse the fact they still charged us 18% gratuity on service that we did not receive….. I literally ate my food an hour and 45 minutes after my husband finished his. And no they were not busy when we got there. there were only 4 other tables. Very disappointing… We were so looking forward to them being open again….. I received my food one hour and forty five minutes after I set down from the limited menu that they had…. I had a cold hamburger so cold the cheese wouldn’t even attach to the Burger…..

Split the stars on the food. My husband got a delmonico steak. It was dry and tough. He said the red beans and rice were ok.. I had the grilled chicken breast. It was wonderful, and my baked beans were very good. We both got mashed potatoes, which were ok.

The location is a huge plus, they are close to Anna and Cobden so anyone who is visiting the Shawnee Hills wine trail area will find them to be convenient and also one of the few places open for Sunday dinner. At this point they close at 6 pm so be aware of that – it is listed on either their FB page or website (can’t remember which).
