Raw Bar at the Bluewater Grille Menu – Hyannis, MA

Type : Seafood restaurant

Location : Hyannis, MA

Barbados Bob was on a diplomatic journey to the United States from his home in the Caribbean. His small ship sailed along idyllically on a beautiful moonlit night. Suddenly the sky darkened and the ship was unexpectedly caught in a squall. Barbados Bob was swept off the top deck by a mighty wave into the sea. All through the night, his faithful crew searched for him to no avail. Little did they know the Barbados Bob had been rescued by a Mermaid and brought to the shores of Cape Cod. As she dropped him off safely on the shore she whispered in his ear, You shall open a Raw Bar and sell the freshest seafood in the land.

Busy old-school seafood staple with bar & patio provides lobster rolls & other New England classics. Based on 194 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 3.9 stars. Price

Despite the presentation of the food not being anything special the food was delicious! The oysters were perfect and the cold lobster roll was *chefs kisses*. I definitely recommend getting a raspberry margarita and enjoy the view of the boats in the dock

Ordered lobster on a Caesar salad to take out. Person on the phone had no idea it was on the menu. Also ordered a side of French fries. Got cut up wilted romaine with crotons and shredded Parmasan cheese with a package of Ken’s Caesar dressing!! The lobster salad was dry! French fries were sub par served with off brand katsup. For $50+ I got a cafeteria meal!! Not acceptable!!

Very obviously a reason a place in this location, with $1 oysters, would be absolutely empty. Even if it had the best food in the world NOTHING could make up for the god awful

Went on a Friday night. Sat outside on the deck overlooking the ferries and harbor. Some of the more well known local places were packed so we took a flyer on this place. The staff was hustling. They had a good local guitar playing singer, from Tewksbury, who wasn’t bad and provided nice music while we enjoyed our drinks and munched on a stuffed quahog, a stuffed scallop, and steamers (large portion!). The food was good, good portions and not at an arm & a leg price. Service by John, who doubles as the manager, was timely. The atmosphere thanks to the guitar player and views of the port was perfect. I hate to wait for a long time for a dinner in a hot, crowded and loud restaurant…Raw Bar was the perfect antidote. Give it a shot, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Our server was very good. The lobster Mac and cheese was okay, the drinks were $16 and I could not taste a sip of alcohol in the frozen Margarita

The worst food on Cape Cod. The food tastes like it was bought from the Walmart frozen food section then nuked in the microwave before being served on a paper plate. The lobster was inedible. It had a strong fishy smell and chewy taste. The “stuffed scallop” was basically a seafood-flavored muffin with a tiny microwaved shrimp on top. Even the server was apologizing as he served our food because it looked so terrible. In addition to the disgusting food, they are blasting club music which is just a weird vibe. Save yourself. Eat anywhere else.

Hilariously slow service, warm oysters, dirty beer cans, and eye-popping prices. It was not busy and they were quite well-staffed.

Simply awful. The setting is pretty enough, on Ocean Street across from Hyannis Harbor. But at lunchtime in July on a sunny day, the place was nearly empty and we quickly learned why. We ordered a mix of lobster rolls, salads, onion rings and oysters as well as bloody marys. Everything — literally everything — was served in plastic or paper. The food itself looked and was unappetizing. The chowder was mostly potatoes, the salads were made of wilted greens served with foil packets of Ken’s salad dressing (Really? At $13 a salad??), the onion rings seemed all bread, and the bloody marys flavorless (those we complained about and got removed from the bill). Meanwhile, the prices are exceptionally high. The manager on duty seemed bored and uncaring when we saw others complaining (we were hardly the only ones unhappy with our meals). This place is a classic tourist trap — a scheme that works once but not a second time — and nearby places (Black Cat, Spanky’s and Baxters) are vastly superior in quality. We are year-rounders, thinking to try a new place with guests from out of town. Never again. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The oysters were oddly warm and had sand in them not cleaned correctly, the lobster was stringy and there were brown and black bits in a claw piece, it came on a soggy hot dog roll that wasn’t grilled or anything, the soda I had tasted like they mixed soda with pond water and the alcoholic drinks were extremely expensive and didn’t taste like they had any alcohol in them. The service was awkward, he was swearing under his breath and forgot multiple things. I’m worried this is going to result in food poisoning
