My husband loved the chawanmushi so much he tried to make it at home. It’s like a savory egg custard. He spent a lot of money on ingredients and the end result was.. strange. Unless you’re VERY adventurous, just eat it here. Their food is delicious and you won’t need to clean exploded egg off of all your cooking supplies.

Charming mom-and-pop shop. On-street parking, and parking in back. Sweet customer service. Inari sushi per piece also! Some of the softest, best unagi you’ll find, and the prices are very reasonable. Goya chanpuru is superb.

We chanced upon this place when the Pho place we were supposed to eat was closed. We were visiting from Kauai and our daughter lives nearby. We were glad that we came here. The food is great and the service was great. Very friendly and very attentive to our needs. The lady gives you extra napkins before you could ask for it or gives you extra plates or bowls even before asking. Just great. Will eat here again on our next visit.
