I have been coming here for years. Still the great quality as when I was younger. 10/10 the bread was phenomenal. The sandwiches are always made so well. There’s a reason they have been in business for so many years. Just a heads up Cash Only for people who have never been. I will keep coming back and when you stop in get the Italian sub with prosciutto! Great prices and fast service. Keep up the great work Sam’s!

Hasn’t changed in the 40 years since I moved from Kennett. Best hoagies in town and same family friendly service. Don’t forget it’s cash only still!

Old School South Philly Deli without going to South Philly. I think Kennett Square can completely fulfill a Center City transplants food needs. Sam’s opens at 6:30 and closes at 3. Cash only. A very good small plate Kennett Square’esque cheesesteak in an old school sandwich shop complete with a table for four right in the middle of the patron area. I learned from the two Old-Timers I sat with that Sam’s daughter and her husband run the place and the HS football team is looking good this year. Sam came back from WW2 and opened Sam’s sub shop in 1946. This was a very good cheese steak. The mushrooms and onion spent some quality time together on the grill. Everyone’s going to give me a hard time and say I only care about size but ‘come on man’ look at the pictures this Cheesesteak needed more meat. Overall very good cheesesteak experience. $9.75 stung a bit.

Open early and makes an amazing scrapple and egg breakfast sandwich. The sandwich comes on a sub roll, which is just fantastic.

It’s not bad! I’ve had better, What I didn’t care for Is that it was SALTY!!! First of all I didn’t ask for salt, but i did ask for the Oregano, So if you don’t like SALT please tell them, Non or little, I thought because ppl now days have High Blood Pressure, For the most part, they stop putting salt on food unless you tell them or they ask you. I cant drink enough water!!!!

Took my order quickly and food did not take long to cook up. Only ever stopped for breakfast but the bacon egg and cheese on a hoagie roll is top notch. Old school deli vibe which is definitely missing these days

My husband and I are frequent customers and rave about Sam’s to everyone who comes to visit us. I love the Italian Special.

Good sub. Bread was amazing and really made the sandwich. My only complaint was too much lettuce and not enough meat. Was still delicious but a better ratio would have made it exceptional.

My daughter bought subs for our lunch on Saturday from Sams sub shop. I have always said they make great sandwiches. We…both my husband and I….grew up in the Kennett area. My parents always ordered food from Sams. I was totally disappointed with the sandwiches we got on Saturday. They have gotten very skimpy with the meats and cheeses. Don’t think we will be eating from here again. I would rather see a price increases and get a decent sandwich than pay the price for bread and veggies with little meat.

First time here… wow! What a fantastic cheesesteak and old school vibes. Unfortunately it’s cash-only so I couldn’t order more food this time around. Will be back – hidden gem!
