We gave been customers for three years and the experience used to be great. Esp. during the pandemic, they did a takeout- only service and timing was just fine. However, since reopening, both the timely service and overall quality of customer experience have dropped precipitously. Tonight I waited more than 75 minutes for 2 pastas and two apps, when we were told the pick-up time was 33 min. The restaurant was far from busy–and, in fact, started abruptly turning away customers after 7:20p. Several of us getting takeout orders expressed loud and public disapproval with the long wait (for relatively easy items). Owner/manager was dismissive and harried, telling me my “order would be out as soon as it’s out.” Several months ago, I called to express my concern that we were charged $7+ for a dessert that looked nothing like the impressive strawberry parfait in the website photo (instead, two fingers of a pale berry gelatin in a small plastic cup, with no cream topping or presentation whatsoever). I was told “I guess we’ll just have to take photos off the website then” with a “this is why we can’t have nice things” tone. As much as I hate to say it, this place has no longer earned our business. Go elsewhere until they can get their operation together again. Even if you have to drive an hour, you’ll get your food faster.

While the food is generally good, the reason for my 2 star review is due to customer service related to our takeout order. Our takeout order was $106 and I added a 22% tip (the highest choice). When my husband got home from picking up the order he noticed the total was for $155 & noticed that in addition to the tip I added, they also add an 18% automatic gratuity for large parties. This 18% auto grat was not present when I placed our order online. When I called the restaurant the woman who answered the phone was very abrupt & cut me off multiple times. When I asked how they knew we had a large party (which we did not) she said they assume anything over $100 is for a large party. She said she could not change the 18% auto grat but she could remove my 22% tip, which I asked her to please do. However, that did not happen per my credit card bill & they received ended up receiving ~45% tip on a takeout order! Had she honored her offer to remove the 22% tip, I would not be leaving this 2 star review.

Ordered pizza via Internet. My husband was outside the establishment when received a text to pizza was ready (have screen shot). The pizza was not fresh and cold. We live three minutes from this restaurant. Spoke to a female employee who told me we didn’t pick it up when the pizza is ready and that’s why it was cold! Will never return for this over priced. Poor quality pizza! I would rather drive 30 minutes verse for three minutes for a better quality pizza… Never again, Capps!!

Unfortunately, I have now had 4 bad experiences over the past few months and things keep getting worse. Given the wrong to go order twice with no attempt to make it right. Out of a dessert and substitute with another then charge me more for the other dessert. Terrible filling in the canollis, all runny and gross. Messed up my order and charge me for their mistake. Time after time after time they have proven they don’t care about the customer only their bottom line. The food is generally great, but it is very expensive and not worth it when they literally just don’t care about customer service.

What an amazing experience. The food is so fresh and filling. Truly a pleasure to eat here. Amazing food and service. Best food around! My entire family loved their food. (And with 2 young kids that is usually a challenge)

Not impressed. For $28 we got a 16 inch pizza so salty it was unpleasant. We ordered 1/2 pepperoni & 1/2 Margherita. Their “margherita” means putting a few basil leaves on a cheese pizza, but no Roma tomato.

Gluten free crust is $4 extra which gets you a medium size crust that is teeth shattering at the crust edges. You can see in the photo that they left a huge amount of space for the crust as they cheapened out on a $22 pizza.

Amazing pesto chicken and chicken picata! Service was a wee bit slow, but a wonderful dinner none the less. Grab a loaf of sourdough to go. You won’t be disappointed.

Capp’s has the best Italian food I have had since I moved here. Their pizza is better than Roberta’s in Brooklyn which was rated #3 in the country. Capp’s has the same ovens. Everything is made from scratch including the pasta, bread, sausage, everything. If you like spicy, the Arrabiata is

Ill start with the positives. The foods normally quite good. Seriously tho, i have had 3-4 diff pizzas, and the same amount kf various pasta dishes and apps. All were awesome. Not the negatives. They often have issues with logistical things. Timing of different dishes for a single order, or pickup time, etc. Ill use my most recent experience (potentially my last tbh) to illustrate what i mean. The order: a pizza, garlic knots, pesto chicken pasta. I arrive at my pick up time 6:21pm to see my pizza on the rack. I figure a few min wait for my pasta and knots. Wait a few min, get a server as they pass to ask about order, “it will be right out” they say… at 7:01pm (40m after my pickup time, and over an hour after i ordered)the rest of my order is ready. Now i have a pizza thats almost legally able to qualify as leftovers and some piping hot pasta. Cool.
