Overall, pretty good experience – although the taquitos needed a lot more flavor. Also, the sauce needed to be much thicker for the Chips they give everyone as an appetizer.

First time grabbing Tex-Mex lunch here and we were very happy with the portion. The combo was worth it. I got barbacoa chimichanga, burrito and enchilada. The seafood mix enchiladas was sadly not as expected, everything mashed and cant tell which seafood in there. Would definitely try other dishes next time!

Went in for a drink prior to attending a function. Each got 1 drink, no food since we were eating later. We asked for another drink, we couldn’t have one unless we ordered food. ?? The drinks cost more, how can you deny that? We left. Maybe there’s a by law in that town or something, idk. So strange

No more than a three star restaurant. Food was ok, service was ok, atmosphere was definitely subpar. Pics are kids burrito with fries, steak burrito, and mole chicken burrito. Margaritas seemed a wee bit weak. Probably will not be returning.

My wife and I both have demanding jobs. Sometimes we get home and just don’t have enough gas in the tank to make dinner. On those occasions we have two “go to’”places near our home. One is the Ixtapa on Mass Avenue in Lexington. You can get coupons online so the second order is 50% off. That’s a pretty good deal, and the food is pretty good too.

Let’s be real, this is a place that you need to come to for the food. The decor is just ok, but the food is outstanding! I thought I didn’t like chicken mole or tamales because I had never liked them before, but both are delicious here. I’m mildly obsessed with their tamales and order a side of them every time I visit, which currently is weekly. Other dishes I’ve enjoyed have been the Chicken Enchilada Suizas, the ranchero salad, the chimichangas, and the nachos. The corn chips are fresh and house made, and the salsa is addictive, though my first impression was that it’s too runny. Their pico de gallo is also delicious and very fresh, so if you like a thicker salsa, I recommend asking for that. The rice and beans that come with many of the meals are good enough to order on their own, and I normally wouldn’t even eat it at other restaurants. From Ixtapa, I order extra so that I’ve got enough to bring for lunch the next day or so. The flan is also excellent! Very rich and creamy. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and I haven’t tried anything I haven’t liked, so I highly recommend checking them out the next time you’re craving good Mexican food.

I ordered the chicken burrito. It was on point! I wish the provided beans and rice to go with it, but that wasn’t the case. None the less the burrito tasted amazing. The staff was friendly. The food was affordable and of high quality.

Another Google find. We had the very cheesy nachos with chicken on the side because my wife is a vegetarian. I had chicken and beef fajitas that had a great amount of meat. My wife had the veggie verde burrito that she enjoyed. The salsa was way to runny for our taste but everything else was great. Maybe a little more time between appetizer and main course. They came out the same time, so order separately or mention to them. We can highly recommend Ixtapa if you are in the area.
