Definitely one of my favorite places to eat. Every dish I’ve had there so far has been amazing and you cannot get better service. If you are in the area stop by. I promise you will not be disappointed.

It was a busy night. The servers were good but overwhelmed. I had a margarita, which was marginal. (Too much cheap mix not enough tequila) but maybe the higher end margarita is better. Will try next time and update.

Tacos Campechanos at 3 pm. My husband brought these “leftovers”: dry beef chunks, chopped raw onions and fresh cilantro on cheap tortillas from a grocery, not grilled or fried as supposed to be offered by Mexican cuisine. Dry tasteless rice on the side and beans purée. As the entire meal was little warm, it was obviously not cooked fresh. Never again.

We ordered take out. The food had a lot of flavor but was so salty I could not finish it. My husband’s salad did not have any greens on it. The salsa is great and the guacamole is pretty good too.

Great Mexican choice! Their salsa is amazing. Reasonably priced, fresh. But dang that salsa is so good!!!

Realistically 3.5 stars. Food was okay but overpriced. Chips were cold. Most places warm them. It’s okay. Not good or bad

I have had a really great experience here but unfortunately, tonight was the opposite. The margaritas we ordered were made with a 1/2 oz shot of Tequila and for the price, disappointing. For me, any good cantina can be judged by the chips and salsa and what we had was under the bar.

10 out of 10!! this is definitely a hidden gem! The food tasted really good and the price was really reasonable. Better than a lot of “fancy” Mexican restaurant. My favorite was the chicken tortilla soup. The flavor was very rich. It was a little spicy too and I loved it.

Outstanding food and service. We usually dine in and get the incredible queso with chorizo or the Birria and we don’t dine there much. I was hosting a party and decided to Call around for pricing on a catering order. We went with 1942 and so glad we did! They not only exceeded our expectations but went the extra mile, throwing in some of their service spoons to borrow and a few amazing extras! The food was hot, fresh and delicious and the portions were generous – always a worry when hosting. The price was great and the communication was excellent. They will be our go to catering place for parties going forward. Everyone raved about the food and I didn’t have to slave in the kitchen with this heat. Awesome job and thank you 1942!!

Just ate at 1942 for the first time. Loved the decor and the food was outstanding. The chips were warm and the meals fresh, hot, and delicious. My husband commented about finally a big burrito with everything in it including rice and beans. The service was excellent as well.
