I went to the place 3 days in a row and not once was I disappointed. It would’ve been 4 but I had work. The owner and staff were all super nice and welcoming. I was served right away and didn’t have to wait long for my food. The food was so delicious I ended up ordering two plates and I left feeling energized instead of bloated and exhausted. Will definitely make this a weekly visit.

So my girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat after a long night of partying and drinking and stumbled across haciendo xalisco on Google. And let me just say from the moment we got there to the moment we left, we felt nothing but appreciated!!! And to point out it’s super clean, decor is beautiful, staff is super friendly and the amazing food was just the icing on the cake for us. They offer a variety of foods from breakfast, to pozole on the weekends. The owner Alfonso was the one helping us out, giving us recommendations of what was good, telling us his most popular plates, being super attentive, and let me just tell you, the food was SO DELICIOUS. I got the mole enchilada plate and they were so savory, not too sweet, and just the right amount of salt! I’m super picky with my mole because some places make It super sweet , but this restaurant right here? SOOO GOOD! I cant quite remember what my girlfriend got but let me just say, she was silent the entire time she was eating her food. Needless to say she finished hers and rated it a 10/10!! I also tried their Mexican iced coffee and that right there alone is SO ADDICTING. I’ll definitely be coming back and trying different things from the menu as well as letting everyone know about their spot! If I could give this restaurant 10 stars out of 5, I would!! They have definitely got themselves some forever customers!

I’m a HUGE fan of chilaquiles, so I can never resist to order them and I went with the chilaquiles divorciados. They were excellent! Both red & green ones…ay Dios mío! I’ll be reordering that for sure!!! I also ordered a quesabirria taco. It was. Really. Really. Really. Good! The tortilla is lightly fried and to perfection. The meat was really soft and perfectly flavored. The consomé was delicious to dip in, and I also suggest you order anything you can have salsa with because all 4 salsas I had were great (creamy one was my fave). Let me also mention that the iced cafe de olla, was the coffee I never knew I needed…ijole!…que rico! Can’t wait to try some more from this place. I most def highly recommend it! Honestly this place is spot on delicious and I’m a super picky gal when it comes to authentic Mexican food that comes from any other place but my mommas kitchen.

Omg, where do I start! The food was DELICIOUS!! Asada was grilled. Was like eating asada combined with a steak! And it was grilled as were the onions, jalapeno and nopal!! Came with homemade tortillas!! Everyone knows homemade tortillas are the Best! My wife says these were the best beans she’s ever had. The 3 tacos I had were stacked with the meat. The juice from the birria taco was dripping on my plate with every bite. I even had a chance to put the chips served on my plate to soak up the juice which made them even more flavorful. And the Strawberry water I had was So Refreshing! Like fresh squeezed juice. It’s one of those hidden gem restaurants in Oxnard. You have to go and try this place. The atmosphere was perfect. You know you’re in a real Mexican restaurant with the decor and soothing Mexican music playing. Great experience. Will be back 100%

Best Mexican food I’ve had in Ventura County! Had the enchiladas de mole, the hubs had the chilaquiles divorciados which is both red and green chilaquiles divided by eggs.We got the quesabirria and our littles had the chocoflan, for drinks we had the iced coffee Xalisco which was cafe de oya made with horchata! Everything we had was amazing I can’t wait to try everything on the menu, great, fast, friendly service too!
