I ate at Lamar’s for the second time since finding this place and it is absolutely delicious.The Lamars have been here for over 40 years and they are terrific people. I had the flounder and shrimp with a side of coleslaw and enjoyed every bite. Please give them a try if you are in Georgetown, you won’t regret it. One thing you need to know, they don’t take cards, so bring cash.

I gave 3 ⭐ because the fish isn’t a fresh like it use to be it like it’s frozen fish and the taste is very different they didn’t have any grits @10am and wasn’t cooking anymore for the day. We drove all the from Myrtle Beach and was disappointed ☹️

Lamar’s has the BEST DAMN, GRITS on the Planet!! He explained to me it took him 50 years to master the taste! You can tell once smooth, creamy, smokey, buttery texture hits your Tastebuds. And I can’t forget the Incredibly Delectable, fried Whiting Breakfast…!!
