We both got the same wrap that had nothing but chicken cubes and garlic sauce. That part tasted good but we left hungry and we’re sad that there was nothing else in the wrap. Upon ordering we asked what’s in it and she just pointed at a item and above section and never asked us if we wanted to add anything. Our waitress was rude and fast. Although I have heard from many that they love this place that’s why we tried it

Gyro meat is not fresh, definitely frozen. When I got my gyro, my meat was DARK.. like kind of burnt. You are definitely getting what you pay for. The meat reminds me of the brown pieces you eat in Chex mix. Or maybe bark off a tree is a better comparison .

All around very good middle eastern food. Come for lunch, there was barely any wait time to get served. The staff was friendly and gave recommendations to improve my overall meal.

There’s really no polite way to say this…but the food here was pretty awful. We ordered the Grilled Platter (which included shish kebab, shish tawook, and kafta over rice). All the meats were dry and tough, with a texture as if it had been heated in the microwave for too long. The rice tasted too much like the commercial boxed rice pilaf you get at the grocery store. It doesn’t seem like whoever is managing the cooking has actually stopped to taste for a moment what is being served out to the customers. Very unpleasant food. Giving it a better rating because the staff was warm and hospitable.

I heard good things about Nate’s but I was underwhelmed with my experience. The Tawook wrap was very dry, the shawarma was ok, it could use more tahini sauce. The grape leaves had barely any beef.

I loved going here when I worked downtown, and it has been a few years now. I stopped by and ordered some food to go and it is not the same. Shish Tawook sandwich had only chicken (was not tender or fresh). Ordered regular fattoush salad, and they gave me small size that looked like a side lettuce/veggie topping. The Falafel plate had only lettuce and tomato. I was looking forward to have an authentic lebanese meal, but this didn’t live up to it. I like the place and the owners and that is why I gave them 4 stars.

Up the street from the West Side Market and somewhat easy to miss, this is a Middle Eastern restaurant that serves the usual fare along with deli sandwiches. Like all restaurants whose owners hail from that part of the world, the service is OK but missing a certain gentle touch that’s immediately noticeable and seemingly hard to remedy. The food is well prepped, looks and tastes authentic with the exception of the shish tawook sandwich that lacks any vegetables and feels like half an effort to do the right thing. Prices are reasonable but climb quickly if you order multiple appetizers.

I visited Nate’s for the first time yesterday with co-workers – we wanted a quick and healthful lunch. We ordered Falafel Wraps, a Gyro, Fattoosh Salad and Baba Ganooj – and loved it all! This place is incredibly affordable and fast! We ordered food to-go around 12:30PM and our food was ready in under 15 min. Will definitely be adding this place to my work lunch rotation!

Its a decent enough restaurant, the food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. There are at least 5 people working back of the house during lunch but only one waitress handling the whole dining room which is about 20 tables. If you are a small table you get passed up for the larger tables even if you came in before them. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes to get greeted at lunchtime and a 7 or 8 minute ticket time. Not ideal if your in a hurry. Best advice, be patient. There are other diners nearby too. Steve’s, Gabe’s, Gus’ and Mom’s all have faster service. Gus’ is most comparable. Moms is very inexpensive. Boaz is middle eastern and just around the corner. Never on a wait.
